Nazeem in Whiterun, a farmer that is snobbish and he neglects his wife cause he is so high on life. "You ever get to the cloud district?...... of course you don't."
Maven, only power she has is her money so she needs to be brought down a peg or two.
Jarl of Whiteruns kids, yes they need to be smacked sad backed to glad.
The imperial general chic who tries to cut off my head even tho i'm not on the list.

I really like your last one there Vaga . Reguardless of the " LORE " That Imperal Female Captain , who states " YOU , YOUR NEXT TO THE BLOCK " just pushes many of S.R. Players to The Stormcloak side . Kinda why I always do away with the D.B. they try to kill you , and then Astra trys to force ya into that Murder for hire group . I find that a moral thing , thats hard to resolve in my thinking .

Rolff Stone-Fist for being a racist bastard, Nazeem for being a pompous twit, Lemkil for being an abusive jerk to his daughters, Delphine for being...Delphine.

If I'm playing a male character, Olfina Gray-Mane..."What's the matter? Can't stand the sight of a strong Nord woman?" I wasn't even looking at you, bitch o_O

For some reason the one I dislike most is Njada Stonearm. Her utter disdain for the Dragonborn (and her subsequent change in demeanor once you become Harbinger) irritates me. Come, Njada, let's go visit my friend Boethiah.

Delphine is a bitch. She's got good reasons to be a bitch, and I can sympathize with her plight, but that doesn't make her any less an unlikable bitch. And never underestimate the ability for gamers to take offense to being given ultimatums by obsolete nobodies during the course of saving the entire world and every mortal soul in it."

"This dragon is single-wingedly responsible for mankind overthrowing the rule of the Dragon Cult, teaching the Voice to humans, and has basically been guarding the door to Alduin's cell for all of recorded history while preaching a pacifist creed and conquering his own evil nature. Kill him because he once did bad things so long ago that no mortal can possibly still be affected by them. And if you don't chop-chop and do what I say, I'm gonna totally ignore how I know that you're the only hope of stopping Alduin and sulk in my sweet new temple. That you opened up for me. And then I won't talk to you anymore, so there. Nyah."

"The Blades are wise not to trust me." - Paarthurnax

Paarthurnax, doesn't fault the Blades. The Blades are following their oaths, they've gone back to being Dragon slayers. Them wanting to slay Paathurnax isn't anything different. Dragonguard wanted to slay him too. It isn't black and white, Paarthurnax isn't completely peaceful, nor is he good. Bethesda's theme seems to be the grey area when it comes to split choices in Skyrim.

Paarthurnax taught the voice to three people or it was Kyne depending on which is correct, but he didn't help mankind overthrow the Dragons. He left them to their fate, he didn't stand with them. Mankind created their own shout, and used an elder scroll to get rid of Alduin. The Akaviri killed majority of dragons. Paarthurnax betrayed Alduin, then he joined mankind after Alduin's defeat.
I didn't fault the Blades for their desire to slay Paarthurnax as they are sworn slayers of dragons, that's what they do. Thus Delphine was annoying but not hated by me.

My character doesn't really believe in fate, rather believing that the choices he encounters that affect his life are his own and only his own to make. He decides to face Alduin not because some book says he will, but rather because it's the only way he will live up to his promise to save the people who are close to him and are really the only family he knows any more. He doesn't put any more stock in what fate says he should do than he does in people giving him ultimatums. We all make choices.

Delphine's past is one that would justify anger at the world as a whole. Raido's past is not that much different in that twice in his life before the age of 20 he witnessed the deaths of everyone that meant anything to him. Powerless to stop it, twice he saw his entire world get destroyed. His eternal internal struggle is the battle inside not to let anger and hate take over. Kodlak is the person that helped him realize that there is a very fine and precarious line between questing for justice and being consumed by vengeance., and just how easy it is to slide from the former into the latter. Raido sees the same struggle going on again whether or not the Blades see it too.

Raido's oath is to those dear to him to put everything on the line to fight to save them, and he makes good on it. If some people aren't fully ecstatic about the way he does it, then so be it. We all make choices. That's a "them" problem not a "him" problem.

If Delphine and Esbern want to kill Paarthurnax, then Raido will not try and stop them, but he won't be involved in it either. Should they choose that his decision means their relationship with him is over, again that's a "them" problem. If Paarthurnax eventually gives Raido cause to take him out, then he'll step up and do it but as of now that's not the case. In this story, everyone is required to make sacrifices. The Blades not getting their way with Paarthurnax might just be theirs.

I can't fault Delphine for her view on the world and her desire to carry out her oath and certainly can't hate her for it. I might see it as an irrational oversimplification of her place in the world at large, but I can understand where she is coming from.

Ancano on the other hand is just an arrogant d*ck.

I've not been counting, but it seems as though Ancano and Delphine are the most hated. This I find surprising, that Delphine should be hated so. Her and I didn't see eye to eye, yet she did nothing to earn my hate.

As for the petulant kids, I find them so amusing! "I thought warriors were supposed to look tough," "..another wanderer here to lick my father's boots, good job.." and the like. Adds to the humor of the journey.

I think that more than anything with Delphine, the people who listed her likely did so due to the whole ultimatum thing. Really though her main motivating factor in her actions is not all that different at its core than Aela's in wanting to exact revenge on all the Silver Hand, and I'd wager that Aela's name won't be in anyone's hate list.

I am surprised Grelod isn't listed. She was completely intended to be hated.

At least you get to beat Rolff down. I wish you could fist fight (read: monkey stomp) any NPC in the game. That would open up some avenues. I have, several times now, tested attacking Maul on the first visit to Riften. When he says "get over here" and launches into his intimidation spiel, I crack him in the mouth with my shield and then drop a blade into his skull. The guards all appear not to have noticed. Sometimes Sapphire comes to his aid, but then I stand back and let the guards grease her for me. He's essential, unfortunately, unless you use console commands, but it's really nice to be able to put a proverbial foot in his arse.

I think that's because you get to kill her. Most peoples' hatred seems to center on characters, about whom they can't do anything.

I think there's a lot of truth in that. The exception being Ancano whom you do get to kill, but in his case there is a lot more of direct annoyance with the player whereas the player's interaction with Grelod is considerably more that of an outside observer. Both would likely be considered evil, but are on a completely different scale.

Yeah, I think that Grelod doesn't inspire the sort of hatred that other characters do because she has basically no interaction with the Dragonborn unless you're killing her. All of her bad behavior is vented on the orphans. At worst, she snarls at you to get lost. Plus, it's hard to hate a character that you can kill without any repercussions whatsoever (well, aside from getting Astrid's attention). Maven, from the same town, does nothing but condescend to and order around the Dragonborn, even when you've completed the TG and DB questlines and ultimately control the major portion of her behind-the-scenes power or taken the Rift for the Empire and placed her as jarl. And you can do nothing to her. You cannot kill her, meaningfully impact her bottom line, or otherwise prove that she should walk softly around world-shaking legends.

Bad to the Dragonbone.
I've wanted to kill Delphine for a long time. She gets on my nerves and that's all the reason I need. It's kind of a toss up between her and Maven. And I'm certain that if I were able to kill them I'd hate them less, as well as any of the other essential NPCs and children.

Ancano is a power hungry milk drinker and while I don't like him, at least I could take out some frustration on him.

And then there's Heimskr. I take great delight in arranging his untimely demise. Whiterun is a much more peaceful place without his ramblings.

Heimskr has sort of grown on me over time. Honestly, Whiterun just wouldn't seem like Whiterun without his shouty rants ringing through the Wind District. In Whiterun, Nazeem probably takes my most-hated spot. I really dislike condescending people.

I find it funny Nazeem always asks if you get to the cloud district often while scoffing and putting you down, but then you find he sleeps in the Drunken Huntsmen.

I always find myself thinking, "I'm a thane of whiterun, and several other holds, and I have several homes as well. Of course I've made it to the cloud district, you annoying little fluff. What are you, exactly?"

One of these days, he's going to end up with a daedric arrow to the forehead, courtesy of yours truly.

Killing was too good for him .

There are so many annoying, hate-worthy people in Skyrim that I forgot about some of them til this thread brought them to my attention again. I think when I'm ready to retire a character I'll just go on a wild killing spree and take out as many as I can. I'll have to settle for bringing the essentials to their knees. I'll view it that they're acknowledging my superior power and mastery over them.

What's kind of "weird" is that I cannot stand her as much as I, well, love Serana (despite her complaints about the sunlight, lol!). But I just cannot stand Maven, at all.

Maybe I'm getting too immersed?
