How do you backstab a Dragon?
Well, as usual, Falkreath is acting weird for me. This time though it's really reather amusing:
As usual, after committing a minor crime (in this case, slaughtering a drug dealer - I do it all the time - mostly for the moon sugar for my Elsywr Fondue's and the Sleeping Tree Sap for Ysolda - only this time, he (an orc) was carrying a huge amount of Blackbrier mead and Blackbrier reserve (12 of the mead and 6 or the reserve!), I headed in to Falkreath and was completely ignored. I had just completed killing off the bandits for the Jarl, but, when I entered his longhouse, suddently everyone was hostile. Oh well, it happens all the time for me so I went back outside to exit Falkreath and everybody was after me (well, at least the Jarl, his Steward, his housecarl, the legate and all the guards. For some reason Balimond was after me too). A few points here:
1) The Jarl has the attention span of a goldfish. After I beat him down, I was able to talk to him and get permission to purchase property. He then, of course turned hostile as soon as the legate was back on his feet after his beatdown.
2) The Jarl's housecarl and steward are cowards. One beatdown and they ran off back in to Falkreath and weren't anywhere to be found for the rest of the fight.
3) Apparently Norri (?), the barmaid with the decolatage and Balimond were in an abusive relationship (I had no idea!). After killing Balimond during the fight, when I arrived back in Riverwood on my way to Whiterun, a courier was waiting for me with a thank you letter from Norri. Cool! I have never seen that before. On the plus side, I now also have a key to Grey Pine Goods (?) in Falkreath.
4) I outrank a dragon? Weird. During the middle of the fight (at the gates), a blood dragon lands and starts taking out everybody there (well, at least the guards). By the time it was through, all the guards were dead (their backs were to it as the went after me) and everybody else was on the ground recovering from beatdowns (hey, at least I got bones and gold out of it).
On another note, is it my imagination or does Mayhem attract dragons? I've used it from scrolls a total of 5 times now and all 5 times a dragon has shown up: Fort Amol, Falkreath, Fort Greymoor, Fort Snowhawk and Shors Stone. Just strange.
Anyone else have any weirdness going on?
