I myself kinda dislike playing Nords or Imperials. For me, they just seem too... generic. Just normal humans? If I lived in a fantasy world, why would I want to be a normal human, when I could be a ninja-raptor or a hardcore Dark Elf sorcerer?
That's just my take on it.

I think that's why I like RPing with Nords so much; aside from their generic human exterior, they're easier for me to convey human emotions and traits. With Skyrim being my first RP game, I feel Nords (and Imperials) are good races to get my "feet wet" in immersion, so to speak.

Honestly, I'm a stealth guy, always have been, but I can't stand argonians and have never been able to stick to em. I feel like dark elves got gimped in this game because while stealth is awesome, magic sucks(morrowind/Oblivion player here). You all see where I'm goin with this right? Yepp, I love Khajiit, wood elves are a close second. I mean, there isn't anything like playing a Nord or Orc and just winning through brute strength, but the shadows are where my heart resides. Khajiit for the win!(respect to the Bosmer)

do not feel feel discouraged at argonians they only make up in numbers what they lack in mental capacity or is that Orcs? hmmm and to answer said question it would not matter how many argonians you had the roof will never get shingled as none would have any clue on how to do the job right.

The Hist foresaw The Oblivion Crisis, the Argonians fought off an army of Daedra for breakfast, then whooped Dunmer @ss for lunch. The An-Xileel are only getting stronger, and they know how to deal with uppity elves.

Another reason the Thalmor will fall, they made themselves a threat to ALL of Tamriel. There are tons of factions working against them, and desperate people fight harder and dirtier than people motivated by a smug sense of superiority. I mean they had to subjugate their own people to maintain power. Makes you wonder though, do the Thalmor consider some Altmer more racially superior than others? Im also wondering what non-Thalmor Altmer think about the whole situation?

Khajiit are my favorite for thieves/assassin hybrids.
Argonians are my favorite for rogue builds.
Imperials are my choice for battlemages.
Those are usually the only three I play. Made an altmer once, made it two hours with him, deleted him, and created my Khajiit.

Un-related question: I'm having SERIOUS issues making a character and sticking with it.. I just cannot do it any longer! I've played every class possible, that isn't the issue, I just haven't had a character for ages now that I can even pass lvl 10 with!
I hate playing humans in a RPG, I only do it if the game forces me to do it (damn you Mass Effect), by far the Dunmer are my favorite characters right now in the game, both by lore and gameplay (Solstheim really helped my Dunmer fantasm grow) and the only character I've ever made past lvl 50 was a Dunmer. But it feels too linear only to play Dunmer now, I feel finished with them!
What other races would have good reasons to be in Skyrim? Join the Imperials, travel to Solstheim, join the dawnguard... stuff like that?
