Hi All, though my Forum name is stthrobber (Saint Throbber), I use my real name Richie for my character.

I live in Cardiff, South Wales, UK and I've been using this forum for hints and tips for some time without registering, but finally decided to register and say hello.

I was playing on my XBox 360 but on a recent visit to a Game store, I found a compendium of Elder Scrolls games for PC and so I'm playing through Steam now instead. It has fewer freezes/crashes than the XBox and much faster load times when fast travelling or entering locations.

I usually play as a Nord, but have played as a dark elf too but what I found striking is that despite having completed the storyline 3 times now, there is always something different to learn each game.

I'm still finding new caves & or ruins & I've had 15/20 characters. I've never found all the standing stones & just yesterday I decided to find all 24 stones of Barenziah. So yes, always something new. Hell, I just acquired a new bug for Serana!! Happy days....

I found a cave today with about 15 bears in whilst I was on my way to steal Frost's papers. Can't think how I never found it before!

I've also only just discovered about the use of illusion spells. This is my fifth or sixth game and it's a joy to find new things, especially to help in levelling up

If you want to Lvl fast get the mage stone(one of the guardian stones), get into Winterhold college, buy the muffle spell, do the cleansing job for Drevis Neloren. When he gives you the gloves put the on then commence doing the muffle spell over & over. With the tuning gloves on you don't run outa magik. I was up to 100 illusion in like 3 to 5min.

Good. I'm glad to help.I love those gloves, I wish you could keep them & enchant them. Here's a few others although not as fast.I love archery & conjuration so, get bound bow & summon flame chick & go somewhere by yourself. Shoot, kill repeat. It will Lvl archery, conjure & if you let her hit you, the armour you're wearing too.that's 3 with 1. For sneak: (my fav place) go to a bandit or giant camp, get right outa sight range(night would be good). Now save in case of mistakes. The best giant place for me is either Sleeping tree or Bleakwind basin. Just get right to where they could see.you but don't & creep back & forth, back & forth. To make sure just flick back & forth to your skill tree to make sure its moving & if not creep a lil closer. These are just lil ideas, I don't know your Lvl or what your character is.

Welcome, welcome! I too recently got the Elder Scrolls Anthology and it's sooo much better than the 360 versions.

As for the gloves, that's awesome! I will have to try and level up my illusion when i get to the college too.

I agree that Skyrim on the PC is better than the 360, but it helps me enormously that I can use my 360 controller, but the Anthology included Oblivion and morrowind but they don't work with the controller.

Do you two ever think the anthology will be made for a console so people like me who will never have a computer, get the pleasure of playing the history? ?

It saddens me to hear that PC Oblivion isn't compatible with a 360 controller. I never got around to starting PC Oblivion as I just recently got Anthology. I'm so used to using it with PC Skyrim.

But as for the Anthology being ported to console, it may or may not happen. Arena and Daggerfall were originally and exclusively released for the PC. There was never a console version of them so this is why I say maybe not. Porting them to a console is definitely possible, but whether or not Bethesda will do it is a whole different story. If they were going to do it, they would have probably already done it. Then again they released the set while also working on Elder Scrolls Online so it may be a possibility that it'll be ported when ESO is done and released. I don't know though. Bethesda sometimes takes their sweet time in porting DLC to the consoles (mostly the PS3) so it could be possible. Oh Bethesda.

(Personally, I think they should port it to consoles)

Oblivion. If you live in the States, the Game of the Year edition is on sale for $19.99 at Walmart :D (Sadly Morrowind was never released to the Playstation consoles)

THNX again Brandie:cool: I have Oblivion just not the goty. Gota get it, thnx for the WAL-MART ad. Oblivion was my 1st sandbox ever. I remember when I 1st emerged from the pipes the game got hard to play....... I couldn't stop ahhing & oohhhing at the grandeur of it all. I'd run up a hill & just stare. No invisible walls, no pressure to do.....anything. I remember I was at the top of this mountain & walked to the edge & there was a beautiful waterfall & the beauty went waaaayy beyond & thru my TV. My son is only 19(14-15 at the time) wasn't as impressed, but he didn't watch the evolution of games like his old man. * teary eye*. It was a beautiful change in gaming for me. I NEVR play shooters anymore, the last one took me 6hrs to beat & I was ready for.a real game. I'm Crippled now & have ALL the time in the world, so Elder Scroll is perfect for me. Ill shut up now....

I'm, talk about new(to me), I just had to collect a amulet for the vampyrs on Solsteim & it was St Frostmoon Crag. It was a pack of werewolves & the leader changed so, so did i:cool: Vampyr lord vs werewolf, very kool. My question though is if NPCs can change, why don't the companions??

I cant see them porting the Arena and Daggerfall games to console as the graphics are way too crude and would need a complete rewrite.
