BRINGER OF DEATH
You sold the key? Na-ah.. that stuff is all mine! (I think I was a pirate in a former life)

I usually keep everything like that, but I'm trying a character who isn't motivated by coin. She does little to no looting at all. It's an interesting change. That makes Solstheim a little challenging to play for her, there are limited "fetch" quests where I can feel like she's helping people.

You know I've never played that way, I'm always either hoarding treasure or hoarding money and if I see something valuable I always steal it no matter what my build is, so maybe I'll play a character who is like this.

Solstheim is depressing and boring. I do agree to that. However, when I enter the Skaal Village, I feel at peace and I do like that Village. I am thinking to marry the blacksmith woman and live in her house, in that Village instead Skyrim.

Ive only just started to play the DB DLC for the 1st time and Im really enjoying it. Iv just got the house in Raven Rock (which i I really needed as my carry capacity was at the limit for ages... poor Lydia, my pack mule) and Iv briefly seen the Skaal village (it was midnight when I rolled through), I have helped the nords at Thirsk hall, and I have just talked to Master Neloth.

The mushrooms in Tel Mithryn(?) look awesome and Im really happy to be wandering around different scenic areas. Its really got me hooked back into the game.

+ Nordic carved armour looks sweeeet :p

Knew you'd like it and yeah the nordic carved armour is pretty cool. Except for the two fruit bowls in the front of the female's cuirass. One tip: start the quest "Unearthed" at Kolbjorn Barrow early as it happens in stages and takes a long time to complete, in between whatever else you are doing. Oh and have a lot of gold on you as you are the "investor" of the operation :)

yeah it's a shame, Indari would wear it but it looks kinda funny. But now I have Gregrick, maybe when he is done with the war he will want some. But then it's Nord armour..so..maybe not..lol.

I have an Altmer wearing it at the moment. haha I dont mind though. He is also wearing the dragon priest mask that you get in the mines that boosts lightning spells. It goes well with the armour and its a good enchantment for him.

Solstheim. Raven Rock is awesome, as are Skaal Village, Thirsk Mead Hall and Tel Mithren, but the rest is boring. The whole thing made me completely sick of Hermaeus Mora, but ovwrall i do enjoy it. The sad part is that you cant move your famiuly there, but then i think Stalhrim crafting is a great way to make up for that. I guess its just a somewhat boring island overall, outside of a few of the quests, the extremely insane amounts of loot and the really cool house.Bombur dwarf The Hobbit Wallpaper.jpg

I think fighting the roaming Werebears is the most challenging random encounter in the game outside of a dragon landing on your head:eek:

And those Lurkers !!!! Damn , but they are scary

Lurkers suck, unless youve got a set of dragonbone armor and dragonbone war axe. Then theyre a breeze. Stahlrim is also a fine choice to get them dispatched quickly.

I just threw ice at the lurkers, ran away and then threw some more ice at them, and it took a while but it worked.

Solstheim has some great characters to meet. The house you get in Ravenrock kind of sucks, though. They should have provided an ash garden that you can use to grow your own Solstheim-exclusive ingredients. On the whole, I thought the Dragonborn DLC was much better than Dawnguard.

Yeah it was kind of creepy. Specially when you first get there and don't know why everyone is acting weird, specially those people on the different stones talking about "And so we remember him" then if you kill a dragon anywhere else Miraak like a master nerd comes and takes your dragon soul. I think this expansion was made to confuse the heck out of the player.

Stahlrim armor makes me look like a warrior from heaven (with the light blue and stuff). Do any of you agree!? :) :D

Stahlrim rocks on so many levels. Heck, the whole DC is worth every penny in my opinion.

At first I got so scared  because of the black books. All I wanted was the armor and the other things. :D Now defeated Miraak and claimed myself as the dragonborn!!! :Dovahkiin:

If you play a vampire, Solstheim offers grave challenges. Far less people. Far more fire. I found myself carefully scouting for hours to know where to feed.

I actually think a warewolf would have a great time there.

The island is supposed to give off a feel of isolation and despair after the Red Mountains eruption years before.

Raven Rock is easily the nicest, and possibly safest(second to the Skaal Village) place on the island. Because some of us Morrowind players recognise and feel safer around the Redoran guard - I'm no exception.

The icy northern reaches keep isolation in mind but with a more familiar approach, Frost Trolls and Draugr.

Dwarven ruins have been really steeped up, and they work in a more puzzle oriented way.
Lastly the island has some great stuff on it, Bloodskaal Blade for example.

But am I scared by it? Not anymore - Serana has my back. Plus I'm level 34 with a 128 damage dealing Ebony Battleaxe. What could go wrong?
