If you lock this, it just shows the failure of this community to convince someone of the positives of this game.
Review I just don't get what people like about this game.

Well after looking at all the flaming, I just wanna say a few things.
1) Ivaan, sorry to say but to use D&D in comparison is really getting people to misunderstand what you are trying to ask here and people will think that you are trolling and thrashing around. I would say if you exempted the "D&D" word, people will give u a more proper feedback. So please dont take it so harsh and I will prefer if you can give a proper feedback on which part you dont really enjoy.
2) Rest of Skyrim fans, love to see you guyz so crazy and enjoying the game a lot that you all cant take criticism into hand. But every game or in fact every single thing that is produced, will surely have a criticism. Let us all at least give a proper reasoning why we like Skyrim so much and not taking into account what game compared to this. As we know Skyrim is always open to patches to improve the gameplay.
Personally, I like this game because it really is based on the concept called RPG. A pure RPG game, free to explore, free to do anything, free your mind and being absorbed into a fantasy world, adventures and of course with some strong story background. If you don't like what you started, then just start it all over again with a new character and try to build a perfect self.
And of course Bethesda has done a great job with the graphics that when i play this game on a 22" screen, really makes me feel like everything is so real to me.

I just want to add my oppinion to this
DD is great if your into that same with magic the gathering , however when your truly a gamer you know what you like i realy enjoy rpg something neither DD or MTG can give me. I do enjoy playing it now and then when the feeling gets me no one here is going to convince you of anything, If you dont enjoy it its ceuse its not what you enjoy , this game had me from the beginning as did all TES it transported me into a fantasy and i had alot of personnal choice it made me relax for hours thats why i am a gamer. Good post however please remember it comes down to personnel choice......

If you like D&D and want to know a linear game, try D&D online. Repetition at its best.
What I like about Skyrim:
1. Crafting: Mine and hunt for supplies then make your own weapons and armor.
2. Potions: Harvest items from the world and make potions
3. Variety in game play: I can rush in, sneak, or a bit of both. Combat and the way you go about it can be changed up on the fly.
4. More missions then just the main mission: Sure the main mission is what the game is based around, but its not necessary to finish it within a specific time. There are Faction missions, City missions, various location missions, War based missions, and numerous other mini missions throughout the game.

ok going to add my $.02 here. IF you really want a good reason to buy and play the game? I don't know DnD never played it, but 99.9% of my video games (for both consoles) are racing games the biggest being GT5 (have played the GT series since it started in '97) so am not an RPG player, BUT this game has not been out of my PS3 since I purchased it 3 days before Christmas and I now have close to 1700 hrs invested in playing the game and still have not finished all there is to do in the game.
Now if you just came here to Troll and have no interest in playing the game...... go away. IF you really are looking for reasons to play the game......... then you should have worded your OP differently to let people know that is what you wanted, not come in and bash a game that you (a) do not have and (b) have not played.

Actually, it only shows the failure of the membership to not report it sooner. Since you said you were just "kind of trolling", I'll "kind of warn" you to please stop it.
