Whenever i am playing it suddenly crashes mid game. Is this a mod problem? Or too much graphics that my PC can't handle it?

Just read this. Okay, I have been playing skyrim again on a xbox 360 USB saving device.

I have removed all my previous old saves on my device.

I figured what causes freezing on this game in which I was really turned off by skyrim was freezing...
But what really caused the game to freeze was too many saves on the hard drive causes it to crash.

So, I made a new save on my Memory card with skyrim. have not experienced freezing yet since it's such a huge game!!!

If I turn off all auto saves...should fix the issue...

It's not the game itself that freezes.

it's all the game saves stored in the hard drive over a big wide extended huge game.

anyways....I am back into it wish me luck....

If the game freezes again ....just have to bare it until I can sort out my saves...

That's what I was turned off by with skyrim with freezing..... Now , I am getting threw the entire game without freezing as much.

when you have new saves..only add new saves...

Do not whatever you do overwrite saves for it causes bugs in the game.

If you have any other memory card for your P.C use it other then hard drive.

there are so many other ways to store the game saves... But limit saves when you save to 6 saves and no more then that. erase old saves and make new saves and never overwrite saves.

I had a lot of saves. I will do this and delete some of the useless saves. I hope this will work on me too. Thank you for the advice kind guy!

Edit: it still crashes, maybe i need to lower the graphic resolution or something. I'll try that one out.

Ö I didn't know that because I do that all the time.So if I stop doing it now will the bug in the game go away....

I too have a lot of CTDs (crash to desktop); sometimes I go days without one, but yesterday it happened 3 times in 5 minutes, everytime I tried to fast travel.

I think I can agree with the saves thing. I deleted a bunch of old saves (I'm not going back that far anyway), went back in, went a distance, saved again, and fast traveled elsewhere eventually, and the game was okay after that.
It would seem to be a "build up" kind of thing with the saves.

For a PC user, that could also be due to hardware issues; insufficient RAM, or, very possibly, too weak of a power supply to handle the GPU. (A good power supply is important!) Or, too many mods/bad mod. None of that pertains to my case however because I upgraded my computer all around, and don't run mods, currently.

Another thing I did was disable Steam sync. With that enabled, I'd have to wait 5-10 minutes before I could launch the game again. Now I just do a sync manually at the end of the night when I'm done.
