Name Your Best Companion

I can't remember the last time I was on the road without Faendal. Two elves out all night to partake in as much debauchery and lunacy as possible. Of course, sometimes Faendal can be a square at times, and anytime I commit a crime he's right there to talk me out of it, I guess you could say it's a pretty balanced relationship. Although, every time I walk into a cave or dungeon, I can't help but wonder if it will be his resting place, and when it is, I'm not going to reload the save, his story must end someday.

I've had Faendal since the very start too. I only really use him for roaming in the wild though, and always make him wait outside of dungeons and caves because I rely on sneaky hit and run tactics and can't get drawn into fights with draugr deathlords.

The best follower I've had was Aranea when, in a previous game, I foolishly took the Azura's Star to her instead of the guy. If only I'd known about the black/white star thing before doing that. Saying that, she made a good follower. In fact she was so good I abandoned her shortly after for stealing too many of my kills and making the game too easy. That reminds me I really should get hold of that black star this evening. I'm on master difficulty, but I think I can handle the fight inside the crystal now

I've only tried 5 followers so far. Lydia (killed by Movarth), Faendal (sacrificed to Boethiah), Onmund, Belrand, and J'zargo. My character is a Khajiit and now the Arch-Mage of Winterhold, so mostly for RP reasons I stick with J'zargo most of the time, although I recently split up with him to go it alone for a while. I was getting awfully tired of him saying "J'zargo only has so much room to carry things." Belrand was a little bit annoying, but I liked how he would say "Do I get to keep it? Ahh, just kidding!" when I asked him to carry something.

I think I'm going to try Kharjo for a while, as soon as I find him and return his amulet. Khajiit4Lyfe
