This is for the Xbox 360 version of the game.

Ok, so I have done the quest for the civil war and I sided with the Imperials. I Unlocked the house in Windhelm and got the quest blood on ice. After I bought the house they moved a dude in there to watch after my things. I HAVE NOT completed the blood on ice quest due to I am assuming a bug in which Viola Giordano is dead or missing ect. All I know is a dragon attacked the town I don't know if she died or not I do not see her body anywhere and I do not get a quest marker for her at all. I have the house but the steward in Windhelm will not let me purchase anything to put in the home. Very frustrating. Please Please Please someone let me know if there is anything I can do. All the steward says to me is to talk to Viola and she is no where to be found. I have look everywhere anyone has mentioned online and she is just gone. But everyone I talk to to try and complete this stupid quest just says to talk to her. I just find it hard to believe that if she died and that was the only way for me to complete this quest it would have just said that I failed the quests like all the other quests in the game do. So Please someone HELP!!!!

She's probably dead. She died in a Dragon attack for me as well. I fixed this on the PC by using a console command to make a new Viola. AFAIK there's no way to fix this on an Xbox other than loading a prior save before she died.

Wow this really sucks. Well I think I may just delete this game.....Suck tho because I am level 30 and have done a ton of stuff. I know its just for a house but its the coolest house in the game. This is just bad on the developers part...

which house? the one in solitude is easy to get... all you have to do is the wolfskull caves missions and whatever town missions they want you to do.. or jarls missions but after that you have to buy the house for 28000 and its the best house in the game or you can go to markarth and do all the missions there... that house i think is $5000 plus whatever the cost for everything.. thats like the secound best.. make sure you do the mission in markarth when you first enter and you see that chick get murder.. the guy will give you a note saying to meet him at the temple of talos.. make sure you do that then all the jarls missions then you'll get the house :).. hopefully anyways

plus the first profile on the xbox 360 are always glitchy so just keep it on there and dont delete it... you can make another accound and it'll go 2x faster then the first and the 3rd account is usually almost glitch free... so just keep in mind if you do find one and you can finish the missions, just make a new accound and it basically fixes almost all the bugs by itself

Perhaps English is not your first language but the OP clearly stated he wanted to get the house in Windhelm which is why he has to complete the Blood on the Ice quest so the house doesn't glitch. It's also pretty clear to me that he's considering deleting the game because the bugs in general are killing his desire to play Skyrim.

well evidentally you didnt know about every xbox games first profile glitches so if he deletes it then it might make his next 1 glitch anyways... its better if he saves them because his next profile will be able to fix the bugs if it knows what bug there are

That is not exactly true, I've never had a problem with the first profile on any Xbox game. Every game glitches somewhere and there is always some kind of problem with 98% of the games out there.

There is no drama in starting a new character & doing things a little different & maybe following Walk Throughs like Blood On The Ice .

well everyone i know that had the game had a major glitch with their xbox for skyrim, we all ended up having to make either a 2nd or 3rd new character just so we can do certain mission for the glitches, but usually the 2nd profile works fine just make sure you save it either a couple time before and after you start a mission or just be cautious

I save a lot any way, I hit Save 5000 the other day. As for the Xbox Skyrim glitch, I have never heard of the glitch you are describing.

oh well the glitch is that it messes up some of the guild quest like companions, theives, ect... it all varies sometimes though but my first profile all the guilds glitched except for companions so i was very upset, so i had to make a 2nd profile which on the theives guild glitched and third profile the companions glitched so the bugs kinda solve it self and you can rest/wait faster on the secound then the first, well for me and some other friends anyways

Like I said, I've never heard of it... As for characters, I'm now on my 11th. I only ditched my first one cause I chose the wrong perks for it.

Pretty sure there are other ways to finish Blood on the Ice without using Viola. Go check it out at the Skyrim Wiki.

holy, is it better to restart a couple times or?
It depends on how much you love the game, how much you roleplay in-game and whether or not you can acquire exciting mods. I loved just making different characters with their own backstory and just never fast-travelling. My best memories are of my encounters on the road. Eventually though, even I got bored of it and moved on. With a really cool mod that simulates needs such as hunger, thirst and sleep-deprivation however, I'l be jumping back in soon.
