Indaryl woke up around 6:30 am to the sound of shock spells echoing through the hall of Elements. He had arrived at the college of Winterhold around the 3rd of Frostfall 4E-201. He was the Arch-Mage's cousin.
"Another 2 hours of sleep wasted. Wonderful." He walked into the hall to find a most annoying visitor to the college. Ancano.

"I trust you slept well Indaryl? You look quite well rested." Said Ancano.

"It would've been better if these pathetic apprentices weren't casting spells in the dead of morning" Indaryl replied.

"I do so hope you get used to it soon, it never changes. It's almost as bad as the wizard academy of Alinor. Except we were being harassed while studying." Ancano said.

Indaryl had no hate for Ancano. He is annoyed by him though. He appears to always make it seem as if the Thalmor are better at everything.

Indaryl said his farewell to Ancano for now, Azura knows he'll be back to annoy him about some skeever on campus. He walked into his cousin's quarters to discuss his thoughts of the college.

"Your up early Indaryl! Were you feeling the need of company?" Said Savos.

"No, I was awakened by your students, and greeted by that Thalmor pest, as I am daily. Replied Indaryl.
"Oh quit your complaining! It's not that bad once you get the feel for daily life. Besides you should be used to it, you went to an arcane academy once before didn't you?" Savos said.

"Yes but Telvanni wizards weren't as noisy or Pesty as these students. Plus we don't have a Thalmor advisor running around with his cock in hand." Stated Indaryl. "Anyways I need to ask again, why should I have to teach alteration? You have Tolfdir! I was hoping to get me a drink down at the inn!"

Savos said: "Tolfdir is sick, and he has been dropping five pound steamers ever since noon of yesterday. Stop complaining and live up the tasks of a Telvanni wizard."

Indaryl wanted to punch Savos square in the face. He believed someone of his position shouldn't be wasting his time with novice level students. But he knew if he wanted that recommendation, he had to do what his cousin asked.

"Fine." Indaryl said with a snarl. "But I expect to have a more meaningful task later on. And keep that pesky Thalmor away for Azura's sake!"

Indaryl started to walk, but stopped to grab a sweet roll on the Arch-Mage's nightstand. Annoyed, he went to the courtyard to teach his class.

Seems like it's off to a good start so far. Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys!! Glad it's good for a first chapter! I don't wanna make them too short, but then again, not to long, so I have to try to find the center :D

Nicely done Harc, I've been wanting to see what one of your stories would be like for awhile. Needless to say I am not dissapointed.

Holy plops man! Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! It means a lot that someone of skilled writing such as yourself gave good criticism on my first chapter :)

I'm not sure what I should be more surprised about, the fact that Harc is writing a fan fiction that isn't about sloths or the Thalmor, or the fact that he's converted to Telvanni.

Either way, this is a good start. Nice job so far, Harc.

Haha, I've opened my eyes, the Thalmor fight for a dumb cause. House Telvanni still has power wherever it is needed, :D

Indaryl was in the courtyard with the students. Annoyed by the fact that he had to teach in general, he snarled and said:

"I'm Indaryl. I will be teaching your lesson today. Don't bother telling me your names, because I don't quite care. Any questions before we get started?"

Out of the back, a raspy voice stated:

"What does this one have on his red and gold robes?"

Indaryl was both offended and disgusted. He could smell the awful stench of the cat's swamp ass from 8 feet away. He was offended because this cat had never heard of house Telvanni.

"Would anyone like to answer his question? Anyone?" Indaryl said.

No one answered. He then heard a voice from behind him.

"It is the insignia of House Telvanni." Said the voice of an unknown Altmer.

But who? Who could have such an arrogant and cocky tone? Who could possibly have nothing better to do but annoy Indaryl? Who? That's right! Ancano!

Ancano stated what he did and paced off to complete other mindless tasks. The class had forgotten everything stated as if their brains vanished like a fart in the wind. Indaryl them stated today's lesson plan:

"I've been asked to assist you students with Alteration Magic. So everyone cast a mage light orb."

The class all casted their Mage light spells spot on. Except for one. The stench of rotten cheese and poorly made tea started to swarm Indaryl's nostrils. It was the cat. As it got closer, the smell got worse.

"This one doesn't know Mage light." Said the khajiit.

By this time the stench was driving Indaryl insane. Azura help him. He said:

"We'll I'm sure one of your colleagues can help you, certainly you don't expect me to waste my time attending to your pathetic skills? No? Good!"

He only replied with such crudeness do to the stench of the khajiit.

Hours passed, and the day was night, and Indaryl was full of anger, and his nostrils full of death. He decided to attend a dinner with the students to learn more about their boring personal lives. But on his way in, a courier delivered a letter.

Nice follow up Harc, just a suggestion but you might want to make it a little bit longer. It doesn't need to be too much longer. But you don't want chapters so short that it doesn't take more than two minutes to read. That's just my suggestion, you don't have to take it if you don't want to. This was good a good chapter, and it had nice detail, something I've been lacking.
