This forum probably had a lot of these question. Sorry for adding into it.

I don't want to start doing any main quest related so as not to spawn the Dragons or even the shouts; my primary powers for the bulk of the game would be the Berserker skill of the Orc.
What I have here in mind is to try to "write" the story as if the main focus of the game is to actually resolve the Civil War here. At the time of this posting, I don't know yet whether I'll go for Empire or Stormcloak; I won't do the Peace Treaty at High Hrothgar.

Do you guys have any particular recommendation on what Guild to join first? Or actually, for that matter, any thoughts on the matter?

Being a warrior as a character, I guess it's sort of obvious that I'll have to join the Companions at some point but I'm visualizing my character here as a not-your-average-brute. He's cunning, intelligent, insightful, and pragmatic. Anything and everything, he'll try to get his hands on it if it furthers his plans. His plan? Revenge and becoming powerful.

This will probably be my 3rd and final playthrough for Skyrim (at least for this year) before I focus a little bit more on work and finishing my masters. So before the tons of work and overtime that I'll eventually have to deal with in the office drown me before 2014 kicks in, I'd like to give my Skyrim playthrough one hell of a blast. Any ideas will be most appreciated.

PS
To those working like me, this probably sounds familiar: I filed a week-long leave as a "time to bond with my family" but the real reason is... I want to play for one full week without any work-related stuff disrupting my attention.LOL

If you plan to use Beserker as the model, and don't want to go the Companions route, I would think Dark Brotherhood is the logical choice. The College of Winterhold clearly does not fit and the Thieve's Guild is better for sneak characters. Of course, since Skyrim lets you build/equip a character any way you want regardless of race and storyline, you can always nudge your character the way you want even if you join the Bard's College.
