Build a PC or buy a pre-built gaming rig?

What is your choice when deciding to get back into PC gaming? Do you go the route of building a new PC? Or do you just purchase a pre-built rig like Alien Ware or something? I think building your own PC would be the route to go, at least for me. I prefer this way, because I think it's cheaper. With a brand name tagged on, it just looks more expensive when I can save maybe a few hundred bucks by building mine.

Building a PC is usually cheaper. When you buy name brand it's more expensive, because you're paying for the brand name as well. I have never built my own PC, but I am interested in trying it out. I might just get a friend who knows how to mess with computers to do it.

Build it, you get complete control over what your computer does and what you want installed on it. It may seem threating at first (trust me I was worried myself) but it's worth it in the long run. And the best part is you can always upgrade it and not have to worry about a company putting restrictions on the computer. But I'm going to be honest, while you do save money, it's still going to cost some money, atleast if you want a top of the line computer. Good luck
