From what I understand, Bethesda is waiting for console manufacturers' okay on patch 1.4 for 360 and PS3. No idea what's going on with PC (and it doesn't help that the blog isn't up for me right now).

What I dont get is that if the biggest issue Bethesda saw was the PS3 lag issue, how is beta testing on PC gonna help?

as much as I love skyrim, I'm def. hesitant to buy another bethesda game shortly after initial release.

Just look at all the issues 1.4patch is supposed to fix and that's after all the other patches. How can you justify releasing a game with so much issues?

that to me is unacceptable. Instead of just spending $60 for the game, I spent 400 to get a new console just to play this game on ps3.

Bethesda really disappointed me, but I'm still trying to soldier on as game is still addicting even with the crippling lag and what not.

Hahaha that's what you get for buying ps3. Xbox still has the lag issue but I barely even notice it, except for loading screens. Plus ps3 has more bugs than Xbox and pc versions.

Oh dear no the PS3 versus xBox debate. You know what? Skyrim sucks on both platforms, it's a PC game.
I would have bought it on PC if I had one, but I have a Mac and the next computer I'm gonna buy is a Mac Pro as I need it for my studies.

check around the bethsoft forums, there's plenty of grief from the x-boxers and pc gamers as well.

As for PS3, soldiers from the US Army actually used a bunch of them to link up a super computer net to save money while reducing space for their computations.

I did my research. I sure as heck didn't know that all these gaming magazines who gave glowing reviews of this game didn't bother to review the PS3 disk when they gave out all those cool reviews.

As for the PS3 lag, probably can be contributed to divided memory pool vs unified memory pool but that just mean it will take abit longer before x-boxers also experience the same lag as we ps3 users and from bethsoft forums, it's already starting.

I don't know how old you are also, but man, mature up a bit, core problem doesn't lie with what consoles, (besides, PC gamers can mod and console command and neither x-boxers nor PS3 users like me have that option) but with programming the game as well as QA and QC and basic customer service etiquette which bethesda seems lacking.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I don't want patches for a game, I just want a game i can play flawlessly and although I guess I got a high enough level with over 200hrs now, but it definitely can be a chore on some days where two hours of game play is wasted, and i have to restart again.

I am still sticking with my guns, and not going to buy a Bethesda game until I hear they have improved their quality. I think all platform gamers whether they're on PC, X-box, PS3 or whatever need to let companies know they deserve painless game play without all the hassles because I know I work for my money and it aint easy.

That's all I got to say and I'll step off my soap box now.

I think you are too old fashioned. With all the scripts games have running nowadays, it's impossible to release a game without any bugs. Then after the customers have found out what most of those bugs are, a patch can be released to fix them. With a game like skyrim, which has more choices as to what direction to go, it was bound to have more bugs than normal. Writing script is incredibly difficult, and I don't think you have the right to demand a perfect, bugless game. You want that, go back to super Nintendo and quit bothering those of us who prefer progress.
P.s. I am an adult, I'm not some high school kid just pissing and moaning.

‎1.4 update should go up on Xbox LIVE early tomorrow morning. PS3 update is looking good for tomorrow as well. If we get an update from Sony, we’ll let you know.

This is from their FB page.

Ok Ok, I totally agree that it can be difficult, though NOT impossible (if you release a game when it's done not by a deadline) to create a game with no bugs. We're not talking about bugs all the time here though. I'm on a PS3 and the game is BROKEN. If I cannot finish the main storyline due to "bugs" and/or constantly have to do work arounds so that the game won't crash....it's not bugged it's BROKEN.

All I'm going to say to you is use whatever platform you want to use, but don't tell me or the other people what they should or shouldn't get.

Not your place. And no, not acceptable for the money I spent for the quality of this game.
Also, I have access to an X-box, my brother in law have it, but I like the feel of the play station controllers since ps1. But like I said, keep playing and sooner or later, the fps issue will also affect your game as well unless of course that patch actually does finally fix the issues.

I understand about scopes of the game, designs, hours of programming whatever, and whatnot. Occasional glitches, bugs, and quirks, fine, I can work around it.

but what I've seen are people who have spent hours only to end in grief because of game breaking glitches and bugs not to mention the crippling framerates, failed saves, and whatever else. I know I have. I just lost two hours going into another cave only not to have the game boot up.

Also what is up with releasing a patch or series of patches that's supposed to fix the game but instead make more problems for the gamers instead? It's because of these stories that I don't even have any patches for this game yet.

If you make a game for a certain console, shouldn't the game then work for that console? Otherwise why make it unless it's just for plain greed and the customers be damned.

Customers deserve better than this.

A game of this magnitude, I can ignore the bugs.

I've only had a few lag problems but only because I play it for like all hours of the night. Let your machines rest.

Otherwise, my respect goes to Bethesda and not the consumers.

I don't mind bugs in games too much unless they're game breaking or occur all the time. And I do agree that it's 100% impossible to release a glitch free game; too many variables. However, programmers and companies can and should take the time needed to correct most major ones.

Besides that, good to hear we're supposed to get the 1.4 patch tomorrow morning. It may even be up now, actually.

P.s. I am an adult, I'm not some high school kid just pissing and moaning.

Then why are you acting like it? And for that matter, I think you mean "elementary school kid". The high schoolers I've met are, while still a bit irksome to me, more mature about this sort of thing than you're being right now.

Not too much, was just copy and paste from other internet sources, but I'm bummed that X-box users actually can get the patch, but PS3 users like me still have to wait for Sony to approve the patch still.
