Help! I got lydia stuck in a river by the abandoned prision.

Sorry, Thank you for any help you can provide. I am new to this game. I believe it is the greatest game ever made!! If it matters I am playing it on a PS3. Thanks again.

Well, there have been reports of her missing.. Have you tried:
waiting 24-48 hours?
Your house, do you mean in whiterun because that is the only house she'll go to?
Can you go to another follower and see if the dialog says "you already have a follower" or something along those lines?
When ever I noticed she was stuck, I would wait 1 hour and she would be next to me waiting. My two suggestions might not work but try them.

Have a look where she last was. She sometimes re-appears in dragonreach.

Ok. I went back to the abandoned prison and found her where I left her. She is still stuck between the 2 waterfalls and I can't get her out. I told her that I need her help again so maybe if I leave and wait she will show up at my house? I don't think she can get out of where she is. Any other suggestions? Thanks
