Im level 40 almost and I still havnt decided if I want to join the Imperials or the Stormcloaks which quest line do you all think is best?

Im a member of the thievs guild, dark botherhood and the companions is there a side that suits me best?

The quests are pretty similar, stormcloaks have more charisma, but imperials feels more just.

Giving it to you straight since 1869
It's literally same thing for most quests (go to a fort, rescue prisoners, kill the enemies, etc.) And you choose between killing Gen. Tullius and Ulfric. It's up you, though. Try different questlines on different characters and see how you go.

Civil War questlines are the most boring and worthless quests in the game. The only good thing is the Stormcloak officer armor looks good for a hunter type character.

And i guess its good for getting unlimited arrows.

Just? U be ice trolling! The Battle-Borns - Supreme A-Holes! Jon is alright, but the rest suck horker farts. General Tullus - A-Hole! The only good imperial is that retired woman in Dawnstar. Havard is too naive.

I looked in to my race lore but it seems that half of my race became imperial based the other half were just a bit bananas so they would probs go stormcloak so all my reading didnt help at all and from what I gather redguards seem to like to take over whole continants themselves lol soooooo I need to be high king of skyrim =D

Follow your race lore.

Considering the Altmer divide and conquer Valenwood (not to mention the Summerset Isles), a wood elf could see that Skyrim is the best bet to F with the Altmer.

The Altmer probably used the Illusion magic (their best skill) against them - Rage (comrades attacking one another). You want to know what an honorable Nord thinks about that? DIE! YOU FAIRY!

The companions smitty is a Gray-Mane, who are with the Stormcloaks. His son is in their (Altmerian) prison.

On my main character I became a stormcloak. It was my first play, and Ralof was so fluffing nice not to side with him. Saying that Ulfric is a cnut but so is General Tullius. And that's what I liked about that game, that no one is perfect and it's hard to decide which side to join.

On my 2nd save, a female Breton, I joined the Legion and also sided with the Forsworn. Which is what fits a Breton character.

I'm gonna leave the Civil war quests till the end. Stupid Imperials thought that Ulfric used the Dragon in Helgen. So I'm gonna wait
till I get the shout to call Dragon and use it against the Legion dogs

I did both on 2 different characters, mostly the same except for who you get to kill. I really enjoyed killing Legate Riki (SPOILER)
However, I do see subtle differences in the way I am treated in the shops and towns depending which side I was on for the paticular character. Whiterun is divided and thats obvious. If you're a stormcloak, the shopkeepers complain that business sux.

o_O lol don't forget... the stormcloaks were also trying to kill you when you were escaping with that imperial dude...
tbh they're both dbags, but the Imperials had their hands tied with the thalmor. If they didn't side with them everyone would be enslaved.
Ulfric seemed kinda ignorant to not understand the empire's position, though.

Ulfric is a power hungry criminal who murdered innocent people during the retaking of Markarth 20 years ago, he's greedy and cares little for his men. All the stormcloaks are doing is causing instability in Skyrim and in the process prolonging the Thalmor occupation because the Empire will take longer to regain its strength. As for them cutting off your head in the beginning you can't judge the entire empire for a single officers actions.

Actually General Tullius was there when his second in command Legate Rikke ordered to behead you even though she knew you were innocent. He didn't care.
