The Barefoot Nord

I need some dragon scale shoes.
I too will only kill when directed to or attacked. I will skirt a wolf pack if I can and leave them alive, but if they come at me, new leather handbag. I don't kill any random folks, and I will not kill any wildlife that is not on the monster side of things (bunnies, deer, elk, etc.)

I draw the line pretty early and sternly. So much so that most of the time I won't even go looking for any daedric quests because I know that many of them have such bad ends and choices to be made (but, oh how they fascinate me). I won't join the Thieves' Guild or the Dark Brotherhood either, even though I've heard that some of the best writing is in those questlines. I just can't go out slaughtering defenseless people or framing innocent Dunmer for crimes they didn't commit. Sometime, when I've done everything else in the game, I'll go back to these areas just to see what I can see. But not yet.

Killing people is part of the game, that's why u get a weapon in the beginning, so to all of u out there saying, im to pissy to kill, i got one word for u KILL, let the terror rise, let everyone who hears of ur name shiver, just like my character's name (VOLDEMORT). Come on lets all say it together, Let us Murder, Let us Murder, Let us Murder, now everyone shout LET US MURDER, LET US MURDER, LET US MURDER, LET US MURDER, LET US MURDER.

I kill anyone hostile. I love assassinations, but I consider being discovered a failure.
As for civilians... They're so weak that it doesn't seem fair, and you don't really get anything out of it, so that's where I draw the line.
As for cannibalism, I'd rather not...

I only went cannibal in my Bosmer game and I've done the human sacrifice once with my nord, but I did feel guilty. I doubt I'll end up doing it again.

I don't normally play according to my own moral views in video games because I see them as exactly that--video games. So what I do in a game does not reflect my moral behavior in real life. Subsequently, I find myself massacring entire towns, punting bunnies left and right, butchering the rest of the wildlife solely for crafting materials, randomly stealing things from peoples' homes, and pilfering the very clothes off their backs

In Skyrim, impaling a snotty, bratty little kid on the end of a greatsword is hi-larious...but in real life (and as a father of two children) I find it tragic when when I hear of children being the victims of unspeakable violence. Real life is way worse, and Skyrim is just a game so that's the way I see it as.

Still, I admit that sometimes just as in any good story, I might find myself attached to certain characters. I was randomly attacked in Riverwood by a pair of dragons and in the ensuing epic battle, the blacksmith was killed which was kind of a bummer. So I guess its a little complex that way.

I only really play by my moral values when I am a warrior. I think that it may be because it's closer to my real self than the mage, so I want to play by my own personal code of honor. As a thief, I love slitting some vital areas, and, as a mage, I want to zap everything. As a warrior, I want to give anyone a chance to draw their weapon at the least.

I've never been much of a role-player, and I do not know if this counts, but it's more of an obligation to pit myself against someone at their best. Which can get me killed.

Current Character: StormCloak Nord.

At night I'm often a werewolf and just go for almost anything that moves. Sometimes I go wild and start killing horses, goats, etc... With Hircine's ring I can travel miles quickly. During the day I do the cannibal thing. Normal civilians are safe during the day but not the natural enemies of this character type. Elves, imperials get the bite no questions asked. Nothing like a nite attack on an imperil camp and killing everything (except for the general there - can't kill em). Including the horses.

I want to wipe out the Vigilants of Stendarr. (Can I do that?)

Funny though - since I'm a champion, I don't think its right to steal or be in the dark brotherhood.

Your playstyle is unique, but offensive to me personally. Nothing against you, just can't stand the thought of killing horses.

On my Stealth /Archer. I've taken the approach that if i can profit from you(cash from contracts or loot you may have). I will pickpocket you. or if your wondering around the roads. I'm going to kill you. For next character I am going to take the approach of only killing and stealing from those that I need to progress in the guilds.

You will be surprised how much better you feel. I took the "No Steal/No Random Kill" approach this time around and I find I am much happier in and out of Skyrim. (Scary how much this game will screw with your psyche if you don't watch it.)

ya right now i rob every shop i go into. kill every person walking around. Since I'm only a week into it, maybe ill start a new guy that is going to be about the people. Not about and killing and stealing everything.

Curious Mew

I'm curious!
I play as a good guy, only killing the hostiles.

Me too, I wanted to be a good guy for this (1st) character bu I have made some choices that go against this.
In my opinion, the bugs in the game hurt the game more than your choices do..

Well with my newest char, a High Elf Mage, I removed the restriction of killing for profit and took down the first NPC Hunter I came across just to loot him. Felt good after so long restricted by my play style rules for my Nord char to just wail on someone for the hell of it.

I'll murder people left and right, but I stop short at cannibalism and human sacrifice. The cannibal quest, I killed all the motherfluffing cannibals. The human sacrifice one, I killed all the cultists but still got saddled with the quest to lead a poor victim to this post and let him burn. Not gonna do it. What about you??
mudering people left and right is the same as human sacrifice, except there is a purpose to sacrifice and none with murdering saps left and right. why don't you suck it up and stop being a big vagina- it's skyrim your suppost to do all sorts of crazy stuff. and just think- it won't effect your real life, so just play the game.

Generally, I won't attack or kill anything or anyone non-hostile. I play my character as pretty much just a good guy - I don't steal, I don't trespass into someone's home and when presented a choice in a quest I always choose the option that seems like the "right thing to do" without factoring in personal gain. I won't do the Dark Brotherhood or Thieves guild quests on this character.

Last night I went out of character and committed 4 murders in Whiterun though. It was actually a blast getting rid of some of the most annoying residents of the town. It won't change how I routinely play the character though. Just a funny change of pace for a day.

to answer your post- my one dark brotherhood characters bounty is so high in every hold there is not enough gold in skyrim to bail me out. even the traveling bard tried to attack me but died- i kill everyone and piss of entire holds of people.
