You also have Jarl Siddgeir, while he is quite the idiot and not a very good Jarl, he's actually quite harmless.
No...just no. A Jarl that colludes with bandits to prey on his own people is not harmless. He's an amoral scumbag that deserves the pointy end of the sword.

Least he gets you to execute them. Ulfric's solution is to ignore bandits that prey on all non nords.

Siddgeir just doesn't care about what races are affected. Hates us all equally.

I actually liked Siddgeir. He has an interesting 'business like' manner. It's like unless it's something worthy of his attention, he goes back to just keeping kool and let's everyone do their job. Which is how it's supposed to be, least I think so.

I also kind of feel sorry for Dengeir, however, I also believe that the other nobles told him to step down and he should really. Otherwise, the Empire would have already put that city on Lockdown with it's proximity to Cyrodil. I dunno. Dengeir also doesn't trust those who are most loyal to him, like the Blacksmith. Not certain however I wouldn't want to see where such a road may lead given enough time with him as Jarl again, unopposed.

Jarl Siddgeir, is quite smart, he managed to get bandits to pay taxes. Yes he did have dealings with a bunch of bandits in his hold, he ended that relationship. While he is not the most awe inspiring Jarl, at least he isn't planning on enslavement or racial segregation.
He's an idiot. He didn't manage to get the bandits to pay taxes. He takes a cut of the gold they make from robbing and killing citizens of his Hold. It doesn't take a high level of intelligence to do that, just a complete absence of a moral center. He ends the relationship because they stopped giving him his cut. Otherwise he would have allowed it to continue indefinitely.

Though of course Siddgeir is an idiot and the thing about taxes was a joke. He's a bad Jarl, but he doesn't really take much interest in his Hold. Leaving administration to his Steward.

Not really much good I can say about him. Take what you can get, rather take the Empire supporting Jarls over the Stormcloak ones.

First of all, Forsworn are the native denizens of the Reach. They were the first humans to settle the area. Secondly I find it funny how a Stormcloak supporter is calling the Forsworn a "terroristic" organization, and how you don't seem to have a problem with slavery and yet you make claims that the Emperor is a tyrant. In fact the Stormcloaks and the Forsworn have more in common with each other then either side would care to admit, they're both fighting against what they consider oppressors and tyrants and they both feel that the land they're fighting for belongs to them.
While the Forsworn use to be native denizens they're now of other races. Why do you find it funny that I call the Forsworn a terroristic organization? That is exactly what they are. They terrorize travelers on the road by murdering them in cold blood. They kidnap children as well. They're savage animals who need to be put on a leash. Once they reached that extremist level I no longer show sympathy for their cause. One of the Forsworn members from Cidhna Mine even tells you that when he gets out the first thing he's going to do is to kill a Nord.

The Stormcloaks and Forsworn do have similarities to their effort to fight off the oppression, however the Forsworn takes on an extremist approach. Lets just say that Forsworn are very much like Al Qaeda and the Taliban. Did you see one of the members approaching a woman at the market, as you first enter Markarth, and say “For the Forsworn” as he stabs the woman to death in public viewing? Very much like a suicide bomber who screams out “Allahu Akbar!” as they press the button to initiate the bomb that they're carrying killing as many people as they can possibly can.

Back when I was a Stormcloak, I use to support the Stormcloaks, because they were the blue collar workers. Coming from a farming family and currently going to college to farm / work with farmers I really liked that. I felt like it was the lower class vs the upper class.

Of course if you widen your view both sides Stormcloaks and empire have rich supporters and poor ones. I jumped sides, because I couldn't take Ulfric's crap anymore and didn't want to be the only stormcloak that was like hey dark elves are not that bad. Also farmers are far from lower class nowadays.

Have you even done the Forsworn Conspiracy quest? He was hired by Thonar Silverblood (a Stormcloak) to kill an Imperial woman who was an agent of General Tullius who was merely trying to purchase the mine. The murder in Markarth was not even remotely close to Al Qaeda, it was the result of the enslavement of the Forsworn and the corruption of the Silver-Bloods.

How do we know Thonar is a Stormcloak? His brother is, but does that make him guilty by association?))

Margaret's Journal said:
Meeting at the Treasury House later today. Took them long enough. These people act like they own everything.
Thonar Silver-Blood is the younger brother, but he's obviously the one in charge. Makes all the deals, bullies local landowners into selling to him. Even employs that wispy girl at the door to deter "trouble-makers" like me.
General Tullius is growing impatient, but I'll bring back the deed to Cidhna Mine. On my life, I won't allow a group of Stormcloak sympathizers to own the prison to the most notorious criminals of the Reach. They say no one escapes. Why? Is it really that secure?
Maybe I've played my hand too soon by rushing the confrontation with Thonar. There are shadows around every corner in this city, and I know I'm being watched.

I have a question for you to ponder Raijin.

If Imperials are so weak and cowardly, always surrendering. Then how come all the prisoners walking around are Stormcloaks and how Ulfric surrendered without a fight to General Tullius, knowing he would be executed along with his men?

Seems to me the only people who are getting captured or surrendering all the time are the Stormcloaks.

And how do we know that the Imperials aren't basing this view off the brother? One just care about finances, why should he care who is in charge. He'll still have his wealth.))

I always found it interesting that you fight for the Stormcloaks Ozan. Being Khajiit favored. Since the Stormcloak fight is one of "Skyrim for the Nords"

He will ask about your opinions on outsiders in Skyrim by asking you "You one of those 'Skyrim for the Nords' types?" and if you tell him that all people should be welcome in Skyrim you may be surprised to find that he remarks, "And you're right, at least as far as I'm concerned. Don't let Ulfric or some of these other short-sighted Nords bother you. Most of us are happy to welcome newcomers."
However, if you tell him that only Nords should be allowed in Skyrim he will be disgusted and tell you, "That's just what Ulfric wants you to think. If that's what you really believe, then you're a fool. Never had much patience for fools, myself."

Joining the Legion.

"You survived Helgen? General Tullius told me what happened. Not many made it out alive... I've got a good feeling about you. And I don't often get good feelings about anything. A warrior knows to trust her gut... I'm not going to go through the normal process with you. I've got a little test lined up. Pass that, and we'll talk about you joining the Legion." - Rikke

"...But first, tell me. Why's a cat want to fight for Skyrim?" - Galmar

So I should have my Khajiit join the Imperials based on the fact the Stormcloaks would be all frowny about fighting side by side with a Khajiit? Well, I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings or anything, by gosh, that would be horrible! I better join the Imperials so I can murder Ex-Imperials, dissident peasants, and more upset common folk and take part in encouraging Thalmor murders and public executions.

Golly, I'm a changed Kitty! Sign me up for this oppressive police state!

But in all serious, if the Khajiit dislikes Imperial Legion and is treated the same in either side... what does it matter if the Stormcloak doesn't like me? If I'm the fluffing Dragonborn, then they'll have to say "Gee, he may be Khajiit but he also won the war. We've also supposedly respected him to the point to give him nicknames and plops. I hope he likes to be called Honey Bun Ball of Fur. Or Sweetie Pie because we are total fruit loops."

If your Imperial, nothing like that will ever happen because you fight for the state and not the people. So, I do more damage for Khajiit by joining the Legion. You earn no respect from local Jarls. You aren't given an outstanding achievement award from Skyrim. You sided with an Imperial. All praises come from Cyrodiil.

You want to be accepted by a people, associate with them even if they hate you. You'll be accepted so long as you mean well.))
