Bottom line is we don't know what goes on when the door to the orphanage is locked. One thing I can say as a parent, the way she is talking to those kids when we sneak in is abusive and days and weeks and years of that kind of verbal abuse would create a legion of confused/abused children that will grow in to unadjusted adults. Not a bright future for the region of Skyrim. Elder Scrolls X: Rise of the Orphans
I hate to say this, but many people of my generation had parents like that (at least where I come from) and I know my other 1/2's parents were the same way. I guess we just accepted that we were not delicate little flowers and that adults are not here to make us feel all warm and cuddly. Behave, do as you're told and take your lumps as they come along. Sorry, but I just don't feel all that sorry for them unless they are physically or sexually abused. Life is tough. People are not nice. Get over it! These kids live in a tough environment as do our own children (and yes I have 2). Warm fuzzy's are fine, but, it's a tough world and the earlier you learn that people are not nice and that nothing is for free, the better off you are. Sorry, JMO.

Skyrim children do live in a very rough environment. Made rougher by a b***h sending scarred orphans out into the world for the past X-amount of years. In fact, maybe she is responsible for more than we know.
And we will never know for sure. You have no proof that she was the cause for much of the bad, only speculation.

I respect you for sharing that. Hope you don't get a lot of flak for it.
I am sure I will, but, it is my opinion and you know what they say opinions are like. :) It's okay, but I'm an honest person that doesn't sugar coat my opinions.

Right. The only thing we know is that she drove a child to perform the Black Sacrament, she's verbally abusing the children in a destructive manner and nobody seems to grieve her death. At all. Not even the children that witness the assassination. Like I said, enough evidence for me... arrow in the chest.

Quite possibly. But look at our current world. It's the folks in my generation that are in charge now and we grew up in the "let's be nice" 70's and 80's. How are things turning out with that kind of upbringing.

Besides there are so many creeps in Skyrim, I can't hold Greold responsible for all of them, unless, of course she has been around a lot longer and been far busier than her current schedule would indicate! :)

We also know that child was subject to more factors than just Grelod, and that every mind works and thinks differently, or at least uniquely.

Right, so we gather evidence. If one child or person in Skyrim even said one nice thing about her, I'd reconsider. But nothing but bad news about her. She goes.

You would kill a person simply because no one has something nice to say about them?

Good point! If Grelod was that bad, you'd think some of her past charges would have gone into a life of banditry or assassination, and come back to get personal revenge on her. It's not like any of the Dark brotherhood or Thieves Guild members or any of the bandits we encounter in the wild mention growing up in the Honorhall Orphanarium.

She's worse because she chose the path of least resistance... instead of a life of crime, she abuses wayward children.
I would request that you show us clear evidence of abuse, please.

Grelod deserves that (insert method of assassination here)...

You were almost swaying me until that screenshot. Now we can all happily assassinate that toad.

I'm not interested.
In fact, you remind me of a Skyrim Smuggler named Jaree. I will leave it at that.
