Alduin is going to pull a Doomsday and come back more powerful than before.

Totally agree. No way is he done yet. It takes more than the efforts of the Dovahkiin to take that overgrown lizard down.

Oh, and another one of mine: I always imagined Dragonborn not being able to remember their journey to Sovngarde afterwards. It is a realm of the dead, not meant for the living. Even though Dovahkiin was allowed to pass through, they wouldn't have any clear memory of the place after leaving it behind.

I'll top you on that one. I don't think he was ever meant to be finally and completely taken down at all. He was born to end the world, a task dictated to him by the gods. He is an unstoppable, immutable force of destruction. And the only thing he did wrong in the entire storyline is begin his task too soon.

I believe that Arngeir said at one point or another, that if the world is meant to end, let it go.

I thought of a piece of 'head-canon' earlier today while playing.

The Standing Stone ability/effect on the Aetherial Crown depends totally on the date when it is created at the Aetherium Forge, and the player has nothing to do with it. If they look through Katria's notes and one or two cryptic passages in the Aetherium Wars, it's hinted at, but neither party probably knows.

Sometimes my Dragonborn figures it out, but sometimes they don't, and become frustrated with the item for it's lack of usefulness to them after all they did to create it.

My head cannons are:

>Hadvar can't be married because he thinks that the Dohvakiin is waaay out of his league.

>Delphine definitely wears reading glasses

>Ysolda is a drug dealer and after she gets a hold of the Bannered Mare, she will turn it into an underground drug ring and install a tunnel underground that leads outside of Whiterun so she can trade more effectively with the Khajiit

>Lydia is dating Argis the Bulwark, Vilkas is dating Ria

>Braith is Babette's sister. While Braith can't kill children, she can annoy the living hell out of them. And explains why she's white while both her parents are black; she's adopted

>Jarl Balgruuf often has parties in the Dragon's Reach, which is where all of the followers go to party when you're off to kill Alduin.

Iron is coming
> Ulfric has no children and has not married because he prefers the company of his generals, especially Galmar.

> Elisif is Torygg's sister, because the royal line of succession never goes from husband to wife, it's always to children, then next sibling, children of that sibling, then cousins, and on and on. Never to the spouse though.

> Heimskr is a Thalmor agent and is trying to bait Talos worshippers and Stormcloak sympathisers. That's how they got to Thorald Grey-mane.

> Lydia used to be a child bandit, but was spared the orphanage and trained to be a great and honourable warrior. However they never got rid of that bad attitude.

> The Dragonborn is not just a mortal with the blessing of the dragon blood by Akatosh, but is Akatosh himself and has all the powers of a God. In an instant he has the power to turn even the most powerful of enemies utterly weak and his sword arm unbelievably mighty, simply by going into the Systems settings and switching to Novice difficulty.

Look up Empress Katariah. Wives in TES have taken thrones before.

Well I suppose being fiction they can make it however they like. I've also noticed that the line of succession doesn't go to the firstborn male but the firstborn regardless of gender, unlike almost every medieval royal family.

There's no doubt Tamriel is ahead of it's time when it comes to gender issues. I'd even say it's more advanced than modern society.

How do you backstab a Dragon?

How's about if he was a vampire or a were when he did it? He wasn't supposed to be there anyhow so why would he forget?

I like to think that if you kill Paarthurnax, you do so in a way that he ends up living inside of you. You become leader of the dragons while Paarthurnax guides you.

LOL That actually happens in the fan-fic I'm currently writing.

Delphine never was trying to help the Dragonborn. She was exploiting and manipulating him/her so that he/she would do Delphine's dirty work. Also, I always got the impression that Ulfric was fighting the Empire just because he was a human supremacist and wanted to banish all non-Nords from Skyrim.

I also think that the author of There Be Dragons is incorrect, and that dragons do reproduce and there are males and females, but they raise their young in areas that are only accessible by air which is why their young have never been seen.

Interesting take, agree on Delphine and Ulfich and never thought of the Dragon thing. Makes sense. We can't forget that Alduin's entrance to heaven is only accessible by air so why not the breeding and hatching grounds too?

Agreed. Also, Paarthurnax spoke about an egg. Why would a dragon do that if they didn't mate and breed and lay eggs.
