King of the barbarian horde
I always tend to play the warrior classes and got to thinking. Who makes the better warriors/barbarians, Orcs or Nords? I've played both and both have their advantages. Orcs possess the feared Berserker Rage, arguably the best special power in the game but on the other hand, Battle Cry as any avid melee fighter might tell you, can snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Both races are the most physically imposing, but who comes out on top in your mind and why? I prefer the Nords, their culture fascinates me and for some reason I really identify with them, their struggle and what they have achieved. The Orcs are also a favourite of mine so I thought I'd get your thoughts on the matter. Is it Nords or Orcs that reign supreme?

It really depends on who your roleplaying, if I wanted to be a Brutal warrior that has no care for people's lives, then an Orc. But I I wanted a somewhat caring warrior, a nord

I lean towards the Orc...they have a good story to me, and there are just too many Nords around already

I always go for warrior builds as well and it depends on my weapon with the race i choose, if i'm going with a sword, swords, or 2 handed i prefer a nord, but on my personal favorite which is duel wielded war axes i always go orc.

Chaotic Evil - Orc, walking around Skyrim bashing things. I don't see Orcs recognizing the laws of the Nords, or caring to follow them. Orcs have their code, and that is what they live by, period.

Lawful/Neutral/Chaotic Good - Nord.....I have a hard time playing Nords as anything but good characters.

From a gameplay perspective they are good for different things. Nords are your traditional 'Barbarian' race. They ha flexible weapon choice and favor light armor. I've found Orcs to be more tanky and focused on crafting. Personally, I prefer the Orc. They are so uncompromisingly brutal. Great roleplaying potential.

True, I have a Nord barbarian at the moment, he's brutal. Orcs tend to make better berserkers in their heavy armour just due to their starting stats. Both end up fearsome!

Orcs could probably kill the Nords off. They have bigger muscles and could sever their heads with those teeth! :eek:
