The spellbreakers just a steadfast ward so its not too reliable as a spell blocker, i remember going through hell to get that shield and was kinda disappointed, i went right back to the huge dwarvin shield.
You're still using an inferior shield, just because your disappointed with the wards...?
Well, i'm not sure if size matters when it comes to a shield but if it does the dwarvin shield is the biggest one on the game and besides i never use wards anyway.
Well, You can block arrows easier, but archers are so deadly accurate they can actively aim for places your shield doesn't cover. The increased armour rating would reduce incoming damage further though, and idk if different shields block a different percentage of damage. But I think the ward would reduce damage even further, as I'm under the impression it reduces physical damage instead of blocking it.
