I know what this sounds like, the more the better am i right? True, but for someone like me who is obsessed with over organizing things and categorizing, in Skyrim i find myself overwhelmed with too much to do, like i have so many quests now i don't know which to do!

I love exploring, so i love the immense nature of the world but i don't have a clue where to start now lol, ever get that feeling sometimes? Too many options?

I'd focus on a guild quest line and advance the story as much as you can without it becoming too difficult. The quests you get from city NPCs, the Jarls bounties, and the Inn bounties are usually dead end quests which don't typically lead to anything else besides becoming thane.

I've done most all of the thieves guild quests and alto of main story, i guess i should just once in a while go traveling around the map with no goal and enter some dungeons for looting. I have 4 houses too.

^^this^^ and read books to learn the lore/history. Pretty incredible how it all blends together. Also do the thieves guild quest line or the college of winter hold. Both are pretty fun.

My friends always come over and ask to borrow every game except Skyrim. Their complaint is the same as yours "there's too much to do". I often find myself making new characters and everytime I do, I find something new. Skyrim is pretty much a never ending game.

First time through I didn't finish any of the guild stories, but ran around like a headless chicken doing everything that came up. Had to finish the main and retire as I was one hitting everything.
2nd time through I did mages, db, imperial, and by accident the thieves. Next time plan to do main, thieves, storm and companions.

It's better to have too much to do and the game just goes on & on than not have enough to do & the game is finished entirely in 6 - 8 hours and there is nothing to do except put it on the shelf and find another game.

Yeah, I often find myself in your situation. Best to just take it one step at a time.

I understand what you're saying. I'm a little OC as it pertains to having things wrapped up with no loose ends. I just finished the main storyline and have probably 2 dozen side quests to finish, along with 2 more that are glitched out and can't be finished. But there's nothing wrong with being dragged out of your comfort zone now and again... don't let the unfinished quests ruin it for you. Either knock them out one by one or just leave them be. For now, I'm just roaming the countryside and enjoying the game with no pressure whatsoever.

i mean paying 65$$ for a game, i want too much to do. im getting my moneys worth every time i look at my quest list and see dozens of quests still to do and i finished the main quest like 50 gameplay hours ago

I have been spoiled by games like this. You cannot play a game like Skyrim that is so vast and open and with so much to do, and then play a game like Modern Warfare, who's linear single player storyline content last about 5 hours (maybe) and then focuses the rest on multiplayer. Ugh.

Elder Scrolls and Fallout have spoiled me.

Exactly!! i look at other games and i cant believe i was excited enough to play them, and i cant believe i was content with limited story line

The problem I have is this. You get a task or quest...and by it's nature, it's sounds somewhat time sensitive, but you're going to skip it because you want to do something else. So, you end up skipping all kinds of stuff that is time sensitive, but you do want to eventually experience/run through the task or quest. Then, many times, you forget why the hell you were even asked to it in the first place.

Many times I end up talkin to someone and finish a quest I didn't even know I was on...or an item appears in my inventory and I don't know what it's for. Or a letter gets delivered to me on my way to finish something, letter sounds cool, then i get attacked by a dragon, loot, have to go back to dump the heavy dragon loot...suddenly, what I sat down to do, an hour later, I haven't even touched.

Changes? Need a better log system with more description for quests. Also, need a system for hints and tips where quests are so the designers don't have to cram you with things over and over. You can go search out new quests when you want them.

Still, epic game :)

Yea i had that, came across people i randomly had a quest for, i love exploring don't get me wrong...i think i was getting to caught up in having 50 running quests at once and having them ALL turned on since otherwise i feel i'll walk right past one if i'm in the area. That's why the beginning is awesome for exploring, you have no quests on your mind, i should turn them all off and do them one at a time "running" around the map, i've already done 119 hours in.

I just worry i'll walk right past a quest whilst i'm there but then again i can always warp! Plus if i talk to everyone as i go i'm bound to come across them, i think i'll take this approach. Start on one quest at a time even if it's miscellaneous.

I brought 2 characters to levels 40 and 49 respectively, and have only completed 3 quests of the main quest line--combined.

I just get to darn busy killing and robbing folks that I forget that I am DragonBorn.

Holy hell. You turn all your quests on at the same time? Yeesh. I turn them all off, and go through them one at a time. I'd lose my mind if I turned them all on at once.

i agree if i turned all of my quest on id get totally discombobulated and end up running to the wrong qeust. try turning them of and just do one. i have like 100 or so misc quest going at once and im just trying to get caught up on them now.
