i think i spelt that wrong but dont worry i do know just my spelling has never been my strong point, it was just a simple question really when ever i go to buy a game i always notice the little books whilst im in the que that help you through the game and give you tips, i was wondering if anyone on here tended to buy them and if they were any good, as im new to the whole skyrim and elder scrolls series i was thinking it would be a useful item to get my hands on if i want to get the most out of this game without trying and failing loads of times, Also if you dont get them do you do it for a reason like you believe it destroys the gaming experiance for you or any other reason?

I find that online wiki is just as helpful, if not more. Not to mention, you can look them up online for free. I do miss having a hard copy of a fancy book that is not only informative but also fun to read. I think they are overpriced IMO so I don't really buy them anymore.

yeah i did wonder bout just using the internet as thats one of the reason its there for lol, i also thought they were overpriced tbh the only thing thats handy about them is instead of flicking through post after post on the internet you already have the page and can get right to what you want but yeah the price is alot compared to last time i brought one so after that i think i will pass but thanks for your input hex :)

I only get the for Pokemon, so that at midnight I don't have to get out of bed if I'm stuck or lost or looking for a specific pokemon

I got the guide for Skyrim because I traded in a ton of old ps2 games and got that and the game plus put like $10 down on a preorder for Reckoning. I liked it because I could read it at work and my internet was down at home for a couple weeks so it was easier to use than the 3g connection on my smartphone. The guide is actually really nice and well put together. I would recommend it if you feel like having a physical copy of the guide and don't want to rely on your computer. In most cases though I just use the wiki for whatever game I'm playing.

Usually I just get it for Pokemon like the other poster
