Yea, he finally made the mistake of threatening my character after I gave him an answer he didn't like.
I decided I'd had enough of his whiny attitude so I hid away from where no one could see me, cast Fury on him, and smiled with glee as one of the guards went to work on him with an iron sword, which led to his eventual and satisfactory demise. When the coast was clear, I crawled out of my hiding spot, stripped him of all his clothes, and then dragged his dead carcass over one of the open fires for that night's special:

I took out Heimskr in much the same way, as I just couldn't tolerate his constant preaching any longer.
I must admit, Whiterun is finally becoming a pleasant place to hang out after a little bit of house-cleaning.

He can be killed, but if you do it yourself, expect to see some hired thugs coming after you eventually, as the rest of his clan will be out for your blood. That's why I did it the sneaky illusion assassin way, and made the guard commit the act instead, thus keeping my hands clean of his yucky blood...
I do think the Battle-born oaf is tied to some minor quest(s), so you might want to research Idolaf a little before you decide on which way to off him.

My hate for Dirge is quite intense...
I really can't get over how masterfully done this screenshot is; the tender-loving care with which you placed all of random body parts. It is truly wallpaper-worthy...
Dirge never really bothered me much when I did the whole Thieves Guild quest; I just let him pretend he was smarter than myself, and we got along great.
I did find that Mercer annoyed me somewhat, with his uniquely irritating voice and complete lack of charisma or personality. Totally unfitting for leader material. Brynjolf would have been a much better choice...

I got one, enemies that can seemingly teleport! you'll be walking about minding your own business when all a sudden red dots show up, you go into attack mode and spot the archers at a distance but while you're trying to dodge the arrows WHACK!!! you're character splatters blood and falls down dead while a bandit in full steel armor sheaths a two handed axe bigger than he is which he just knocked you into another time zone with and walks off cocky as kid rock. But how could it be? you were circling your steps observing every possible advance point and there were no hiding spots just snowy flat plains, he did NOT sneak up on you! the only answer? the game spawned him right behind you! this is especially annoying and unfair on master difficulty setting because an unchecked heavy attack can kill you in one hit, even from a lowly bandit enemy, i have football spiked my controller so many times in a rage over this happening! it needs to be patched!

Delphine does turn into a major B__ch over the whole Paarthunax thing. I would say Galmar Stone-Fist though, I can't stand that over-zealous xenophobe, and as a result he's one of the major reasons I refuse to ever join the Stormcloaks.
