The Gentleman Owl
Hello

I am looking for some feedback on a potential build. I want to make some sort of "terrifying presence" build. It will basically be a Two Handed warrior, with the addition of Illusion spells, mostly for the fear effect.

I know I'll have to be careful in dungeons because when you Fear one enemy, they run through and alert everything to your presence.

I understand the synergy between One Handed, Sneak, and Illusion, and have played the Nightcrawler build with Invisibility/Calm and backstabs. That is something I am trying to avoid this time around.

I am thinking of using High Elf for the initial Illusion/Magicka bonus and Fury spell, as well as the 1.08 height scale, to make him look intimidating (Orcs are also rather intimidating looking). That or a Nord for the Battle Cry shout that makes enemies flee, though it may be redundant since I'll be going into Illusion.

Main Skills:

Two Handed, Heavy Armor, Illusion

Minor Skills:

Smithing (Arcane Blacksmith only), Block, Alchemy (1/5 Alchemist up to Concentrated Poison)

So I was thinking I could take the Sweep perk in Two Handed, and use a Battleaxe with the bleed effect, as well as a Lingering Damage Health poision to hit multiple enemies in one swing, then immediately switch to an area of effect Rout spell to get them running while the damage over time stacks up.

I know that generally if you are using magic in combat, that One Handed is the way to go, but I like the idea of Sweep with poisons. I also haven't taken any ranged attack style, so I will probably use Fear spells and shouts to hit archers/mages until I can get up close.

So what do you guys think? It's definitely not finished yet, and could use some help, but you get the general idea.

This guy will just casually stroll up to some bandits like he doesn't afraid of anything, take hits with his Heavy Armor, lay some smacks with his Two Hander, then make them all cower in fear as he utilizes Poisons and Shouts to finish mopping up.
