How does it feel fighting for the losing side? :p
I pity you.

More like, how does it feel to fight on the side the Thalmor are aiding. Stormcloaks can't even see they're the true puppets of the Aldmeri Dominion.

Firstly , so what if Imperials are milk drinkers ? I LIKE AND DRINK MILK YOU DONT? :p

Secondly , Imperials really aren't...we are fighting for what we believe in :).

Actually the last time had milk well... I can't remember and the closest I get to milk is milkshakes and we stormcloaks fight for the same reason you do but we fight with honour and even one of your very own worships what we allow and you ban (jarl of whiterun worships talos)

Torrygg worshiped Talos too, until Ulfric murdered him.

So too does Legate Rikke, Hadvar, Hadvar's Uncle Alvor, Kodlak Whitemane, countless others within the Empire. Yet they have not picked up arms in the name of Ulfric Stormcloak. The Ban of Talos has been in effect for twenty six years and there have been no incidents save one recorded instance, a bard who sang about Talos in public for seven days in a row in Markarth, which is the Thalmor Justicar headquarters.

There were a large number of citizens of Skyrim, who didn't pay much attention to the treaty, everyone still had their little shrine to Talos. The Empire did a very poor job enforcing the Talos Ban, even in Empire supporting cities, the Thalmor actually have a very hard time making arrests, without evidence. Such as the quest given by the Thalmor in Markarth Keep, to break into a Nords house to find evidence of Talos worship because the Empire supporting Jarl won't allow the Thalmor to arrest him without evidence.

The Thalmor are very limited in what they can actually do while the Empire is watching them. That is why they caused the Rebellion and are aiding Ulfric Stormcloak and his Militia. The rebellion causes the Empire to waste resources and soldiers, taking many Guards and soldiers off the roads and out of the cities to fight this war, this allows the Thalmor to arrest anyone they like since the Empire isn't around to stop them, they're busy dealing with their asset, Ulfric Stormcloak.

"We didn't pay much attention to it when I was a boy - everyone still had their little shrine to Talos. But then Ulfric and his "Sons of Skyrim" started agitating about it, and sure enough the Emperor had to crack down."

The rebellion isn't strictly about the worship of Talos, nor is it about making Skyrim independent. It is a war of ego, Ulfric wants songs and stories, a feature about him that irritates Galmar during the Battle for Solitude. Skyrim could of been independent and free of the conditions of the treaty without a single drop of blood being spilled. But peaceful negotiations aren't tale worthy of a mead hall. Torygg greatly respected Ulfric, admired him well. It was his mistake, trusting Ulfric Stormcloak to do what is best for the people of Skyrim.

You still ban talos though after you take over whiterun with the stormcloaks you just talk to anyone on the street and they are happy that the imperial pussies are gone

Everyone was happy until Ulfric and his band of misfits appeared. Read Mage's post. Hauling that annoying ranter in jail was essential, the Empire can't risk another war with the Dominion while Ulfric and his men are tearing Skyrim apart. It's all diplomacy. You think the Imperials are happy with the White Gold Concordat? No they aren't. They hate the elves as much as the Stormcloaks do but some people are too blind to see that

Many are actually unhappy with the Stormcloak take over, the racial views of the Stormcloaks means they do not buy from Non Nords. If you speak with the shop owners, you will see they are struggling to remain open, because they're not Nords.

Edit: I'll let Epic speak for this debate, I don't want to gang up.

Like Arcadia says, "These Stormcloaks are ridiculous. They won't shop here because they think I'll sell them poisoned tonics. I should just go back to Cyrodiil."

i think Skyrim is Alone without Ally's better with the Empire. but if the empire is truly so weak than not!

but if Skyrim become Independent Hammerfall wil help and then the Empire
have something better to do then taking skyrim back,

powerful as the Dominion may be I dont think they could survive a fight against Hammerfell, Cyrodil and Skyrim at the same time 3 different tactics become a challenge against the Dominion

but skyrim is strong for a little country itself

it doens't matter you like the imperials join them or you like the Stormcloaks so join them.

You are not always sure if Hammerfell will help or not. Robb Stark though Walder Frey would help and you know what happened? Red Wedding!

Dominion is VERY Powerful. They are on par with the Empire so that itself is scary!

Glad we are coming to an understanding! ;)

I don't see the point you're trying to make. Neither side promises peace after the Civil War. The Empire is gearing up for another war with the Dominion and Ulfric promises to try and invade the Dominion. There is no peace promised. Only unity with the rest of the Empire or independence for Skyrim.
