I know, You know
That is a beautiful and very honorable ode. Where is that from?

I think it's "When the Battle's Over" it's a Scottish Song by Andy Steward

The strongest man isn't the strongest leader. If he was Skyrim would be ruled by giants(which is still a step up from Ulfric :p )
Indeed, Skyrim would be a dictatorship under the club of giants. A voice in government assumes your leader cannot personally send everyone into space on a whim.

The Legionnaires in Cyrodiil are the strongest. Fighting as a single unit. Besides, I would love to see a Stormcloak come face to face with an Imperial Watch.

Both sides are generally the same, both are locally recruited and lowly trained in the Civil War. The Legion you're fighting are Auxiliary Legionnaires. Not true Legionnaires. The mean ones are in Cyrodiil, which I said Cyrodiil was the strongest province of the Empire currently, having the armies within it's borders.

Skyrim isn't very good in that aspect, since it doesn't really do Legion or Stormcloak soldiers much justice, they're among the weakest NPCs.

I don't believe he ever said the Auxiliary troops in Skyrim were the Best legionaries, in fact I do believe he said the Best Legionaries were on the Borders of Cyrodiil, which they are.

Also is it weird that every time I read your posts I see this:

Read what I say, before replying. Here is what I wrote.

Skyrim is not the strongest, Cyrodiil is currently the strongest province of the Empire. Skyrim is perhaps now the weakest province in Tamriel after the Civil War. Having many dead and cities have been attacked, just like Cyrodiil was twenty six years ago. Cyrodiil has nearly the entire army of the Empire currently within it's borders. Ulfric is unwilling to even mess with Cyrodiil, fearing that the province will take up arms against him. He can't afford a war with Cyrodiil, it would be a slaughter as the standard Legions would have to be diverted to defend Cyrodiil if Ulfric made an open move against them. You don't mess with one of the normal Legions, he's fighting locally recruited Auxiliary units. Not the true Legionnaires that are in heavy armor, with their heavy infantry, heavy cavarly and the Imperial Battlemages of the Shadow Legion. Using Akaviri tactics and high end equipment, the Stormcloak Army would be wiped out man for man. They're having trouble fighting the Auxiliaries, the trouble they would have with even a single Legion would be quite high.

"We're ready to march on Solitude, but the Emperor's cousin is getting married! If royal blood was spilt, all of Cyrodiil would be up in arms. We can't afford an all out war with the Empire. So we'll bide our time for now." - Ulfric Stormcloak

Stormcloak supporters blame the Empire for trying to execute you for being innocent. The Imperials do not know you're innocent, they suspect you're a Stormcloak, since it is the Stormcloaks they're after. You were caught with Ulfric and his personal bodyguards. Lokir in the opening is pleading with the Stormcloaks to tell the Legion Garrison that you and him are not with them.

Lokir: "Damn you Stormcloaks. Skyrim was fine until you came along. Empire was nice and lazy. If they hadn't been looking for you, I could've stolen that horse and be halfway to Hammerfell. You there. You and me - we shouldn't be here. It's these Stormcloaks the Empire wants."

Lokir: "No! Wait! We're not rebels!"
Ralof: "Face your death with some courage, thief."
Lokir: "You've got to tell them! We weren't with you! This is a mistake!"

Your Stormcloak friends just had to denounce your being one of them, and the Imperials then would have to handle it correctly, if the Stormcloaks denounced your involvement and the Legion Captain sentenced you to death anyway, then the Legion would be at fault, you would have a good argument against the Legion who represents the Emperor, thus the Empire. But it was the Stormcloaks who knew of your innocence and said nothing. Not one single word, they were willing for you to be killed in the name of their cause. Their cause, not your cause. Your life means nothing to them, they had the power to spare you and Lokir and they said nothing, they kept their mouths shut. Does that make them better than the Imperials? No, it makes them worse. The Imperials were acting on what they had in front of them, you being caught with Ulfric Stormcloak.

You always hear what a good man Ralof is, he was willing to let you be killed for Ulfric's and his/Stormcloaks' crimes.

Then you also have Ulfric Stormcloak, he calls you a criminal when joining his ranks. The person you shared a cart ride with, calls you a criminal.

Then Stormcloak supporters call the Legion murderers of innocent people, for trying to execute you... To Ulfric you're not innocent. Markarth Incident, he orders the execution of innocent children, old enough to wield a sword if they didn't pick one up when his men breached the gates. Tortured innocents for information. And yet he has the nerve to call you a criminal.

Every official who worked for the Forsworn was put to the sword, even after they had surrendered. Native women were tortured to give up names of Forsworn fighters who had fled the city or were in the hills of the Reach. Anyone who lived in the city, Forsworn and Nord alike, were executed if they had not fought with Ulfric and his men when they breached the gates. "You are with us, or you are against Skyrim" was the message on Ulfric's lips as he ordered the deaths of shopkeepers, farmers, the elderly, and any child old enough to lift a sword that had failed in the call to fight with him.

You are with us, or you are against Skyrim... That sounds very familiar, ah right.

Galmar: "If he's not with us, he's against us."
Ulfric: "He knows that. They all know that."

I've always been intrigued on how he says, "They all know that." How would they know, if you're not with him you're against him, unless he's done it before. The Markarth Incident, the birth of the Stormcloak Rebellion.

It's amusing to see all the Stormcloak arguments. "Imperial lies" "It's Imperial propaganda" "You Imperials don't even listen" "Imperials are hiding information"

I tell you what, I will turn Stormcloak, if you can give one, just one logical argument that does the Empire bad. Something that can't be argued back against.

Also, the stupid arguments of bringing the American Revolution into this is just pointless, they have nothing in common. The Stormcloak thing is, Skyrim for the Nords. Many of you go "Yeah that is good" Is it? You have no idea what that actually means, think of America, since you always bring up America. "America for the Whites" is basically what that would be. Since there are what, nine playable races. One race for Skyrim. The rest are considered lesser beings. That is what it is saying by that whole skyrim belongs to the Nords. The rest of the races don't matter, a Breton family that goes back living in Skyrim for say a thousand years. Nah, sorry Skyrim for the Nords, you're not Nord therefor get out. Only Nords can rule in Skyrim. Under the Empire, Skyrim has had non Nord Jarls.

But the evil Empire spreads racial equality. They are so oppressing, giving all races equal opportunities.

"The Empire took away our god!" The Nords took away the Gods of the Reachmen, forbid them from worshiping their old gods, put them in chains and forced them into near slavery for over an era. They rise up and fight against oppression and yet, they're called mad men and are hated. Nords are what, banned from openly worshiping a God that isn't even a part of their religious pantheon. They all still worship in secret, the Empire wasn't even enforcing the ban... "WE'RE BEING OPPRESSED" Nords don't even know what oppression is.

You don't have opinions on the internet. It still doesn't change the fact the the Stormies are lost, Ulfric is a greedy bastard and he will drag the Empire and Skyrim into peril.
