Wasn't sure if I should put this in gaming or Lobby. If this is in the wrong place, please move it :D

I was in chat earlier and saw Uther post some pictures of pixellated Skyrim characters. The first thing that came to mind was "Those would look great in a flash game" which got me to thinking.. there's absolutely NO Flash games on the internet based off Skyrim!

I'm not sure if its a trademark/copyright issue with Bethesda or something of that nature, but it's got SO much potential to be something great, that if I had the tools necessary to do it I would get started right now :D

For those of you unfamiliar with Tower Defense games (Kal lol :p) A tower defense is where creeps come through a predetermined path in waves, the objective is to eliminate the creeps before they reach the end of the path. If they do, you lose a life.

What's this have to do with Skyrim you say? Well, the creeps could be determined by the location you travel to. I.E. Wilderness you'd be fighting Wolves, Bears, Sabercats, Spiders.. and if you travel to a Dwemer Ruin, you'd be pitted against Dwarven Spiders, Falmer, Constructs, etc... you see where I'm going with this.

Here's a short list of ideas (By the way this isn't final and just a brainstorming session)

  • Unrestricted travel - In most Tower Defenses you go from Level 1 to the final level in specific order. In this game, by finishing an area, it will reveal nearby areas to travel to next. Each location would have a recommended level but you can still attempt it. The difficulty of areas would also scale to level, just like in Skyrim.
  • Leveled Loot - Just like in SR, the loot would improve as you continue to level. Random loot would drop from creeps as you take them out. That loot can be used as equipment to make your towers (Companions) stronger, or for crafting purposes.. improving blacksmithing and enchanting.
  • Towers - Of course the Dragonborn would be the strongest tower, but by selling loot and getting money, you can purchase new companions (towers) to assist you in the fight. Each companion would have pre-determined skills and class.
  • Classes - The Dragonborn doesn't have a pre-determined class, but when your companions level up, you would choose to improve the skills associated with their class. For example, a Barbarian class could use 2 Handed and Light Armor
That's all I can think of right now :D If you got any cool ideas or something to add, lemme know
