A false front - imperial PC

Hey I have started on quest "A False Front" on the Imperial side. I went to the Nightgate inn and threatened the inn keeper to tell me where the courier where. He told me the courirer had just left and that i might catch him on the road or i could wait for him.

First I waited (tried fast forward 24 hours, he didn't arive, then I waited 24 hours "real" time to see if he arrived and if I had just missed him; he still didn't arrive) then I desided to look for him. I traveled the road twice before I read on the internet that the courier should show up on my map, he didn't.

So my question is; how to find the courier? is there a code i can write in the command box? or am I just fluffed and can't fisnish the questline?

I realy hope someone can help.

realy empire side this mission you have with stormcloak to....

but it's simple just get out the door and follow the road, there most be a pointer on the map.
if not it be a real problem! i should load if i were you autosave ore a save load than come back
talk to the person again. if you play skyrim a few hours can make mistakes (bug)

btw: do not go after him with traveling fast he is already futher than where you click him and think you can catch him there.

do you have steam or something make a picture of the map
and look if you can upload it online that wil help....

Do you have the quest activated, so the quest marker shows up?

Yes I'm useing steam, and yes I have the quest activated. I tried to reload a saved game and the marker showed up on the map, though the courier was dead; he had the paipers though.
