I just got headphones because I use them for music as well, but I remembered I have Turtle Beach X31's. I'm just going to get a double ended auxiliary cord and use them on the PC. =)
The macro buttons on mouse, I suppose it's just a preference. I have never enjoyed using a mouse with them. The Logitech G110 I bought has 12 macro keys, with 3 "modes" I can place them in, so 36 in total. I never play FPS either, so I'm not concerned with extreme reaction times.
