Okay alot of people were pissed off the Oghma was patched over but this is much faster.

U need alot of ingrediants and 100 in Alchemy, make alchemy legendary do the restoration exploit/glitch, and abra kadabra I went from level 87 to 102 in 10-15 mins(alchemy is now legendary 7) I was making 40000 septim potions with the giants toes and wheat, it takes about 7-10 potions to go from 15 alchemy to 100 alchemy using those 2 ingrediants, off course u have to start of by making fortify restoration potions but once the percentage is sky high,u can make any potion to increase level.

there is great videos on youtube showing u how to start doing the restoration exploit. The process will take longer if u dont allready have enchanted fortify alchemy gear you will have to create that first, but this method is more for high level players maxd out anyways, or lower levels that have the craft skills high enough.

ShadowKing, what is the whole point to be legendary anyway for example in Alchemy ? What is the real benefit of it ? Will your potions be more powerful than before ? I understand the process to become legendary but what I still don’t get is what is the real benefit of it ? Is it just a tittle related that you reached the summit in the game or you will be more powerful in that skill chosen ? Can you please explain if you don’t mind bro ? :)

The idea is to remove the level cap, from what I've read. There's rumours that there will be some stuff in the next DLC (if it ever exists) that would work better if there was no cap.

I don't see what they couldn't just keep the skills increasing beyond 100 though. Seems a bit backwards to reset your most used skills, unless you're 81, at which point it doesn't matter.

hey bro, so far I have made smithing legendary x1 Illusion legendary x1 Alteration legendary x2 and Alchemy legendary x7 I have not seen anything that makes spells better or weapons do more base damage as for the potions I dont really know as I cheated and used restoration glitch but im pretty certain all skills will never improve past 100 its the same at 100 as it would be at legendary x3 100, there is no diffrence.

There is only 2 benefits of making skills legendary.

1. you increase level so each level u increase u can increase your overall health/stamina/magic.

2. with each level u increase u gain 1 perk point just like normal so now u can with enough work have all skill trees perked out to the max.

Got it ! Then I am more than OK with my 81 level and all my skills at 100. I am not holding my breath for new stuff related to the Legendary stuff. Thanks ShadowKing and AS88.

I am now level 115 my alchemy is legendary X15

some people might not know why I write legendary X15 etc its because each time u make the same skill legendary a little number appears, so once u make a skill legendary the skyrim symbol appears under the skill and if u make a skill legendary once again a number 2 appears next to the skyrim symbol. so now im alchemy number 15, thank god for the extra stamina/carry weight Im addicted to taking dragons bones.

There are a couple of glitches and exploits that you can use to refine the process of power levelling skills with the new patch. I haven't tested them all but most should help for turning skills legendary in a hurry.

The Fortify Restoration Glitch - Enchant some fortify alchemy gear - Head / Neck / Gloves / Ring. Once you have your crafting gear make a fortify restoration potion, take off your crafting gear and put it back on, drink the potion (this improves your fortify alchemy stats and allows you to make ever stronger potions) and then repeat. Note that this doesn't work every time but persevere and it should get you unlimited strength potions. At the end of the process make a fortify enchanting potion and use it to make super enchanted equipment.

The Aetherial Crown Glitch - Obtain the aetherial crown from the Dawnguard DLC quest Lost to the Ages. Then activate the ritual stone and a second standing stone so that the ritual stone power is your second standing stone power. Whenever you take off the crown and put it back on the Ritual Stone Power will reactivate. The Ritaul Stone Power allows you to reanimate an unlimited number of NPCs together for about 2 minutes. The more undead you have following you the easier it is to attack new enemies and grow your undead army.

Smithing / Alchemy

With a strong enough Fortify alchemy and fortify smithing enchantment on a ring you should be able to make items valuable enough that you can level Alchemy or Smithing from 15 to 100 in one go. Both Alchemy and Smithing are increased according to the value of the items you produce. NB making items will not increase your smithing quickly with a super enchanted Fortify Smithing ring but sharpening a weapon will (one dagger sharpened can take you from 15 to 100 in one go).

Alteration / Destruction / Illusion / Restoration / Conjuration / Heavy Armour / Light Armour / Block

Use the Fortify Restoration Glitch to reduce the cost of casting spells in every school to zero. You can reduce every school of magic to zero all at once with the right equipment.

Use the aetherial crown trick to gather large numbers of bodies together in one location. A lot of spells are levelled according to the effect they have on NPCs - eg Destruction according to the amount of damage you do and Illusion according to the number of targets you calm or aggravate - all multiplied by the stength of the spells cast. You can get a small army together in one location with the aetherial crown trick and then cast area of effect (AoE) spells on large numbers of NPCs all at once. This is great for Alteration (detect life) / Destruction (incinerate / firestorm) / Illusion (calm / fury).

For Restoration simply use the fortify restoration glitch to make equipment that gives you unlimited health (not regeneration - just health). Then go to a Giants den and let them attack you repeatedly - spam your strongest spell to recover. If you are wearing armour (heavy or light) then this will level those trees as well. If you block at the same time as receiving damage then Block will raise quickly as well. Finally spam a high level restoration spell over and over

For Alteration collect lots of iron ore and then use the Transmute Mineral Ore Spell (available in Halted Stream Cave) then you can level ALteration very fast indeed. The more ore you transmute the faster you level. Plus you will become very rich very fast because of all the gold you've made.

Speech

Speech can be levelled by using the persuade / intimidate option on NPCs. Once you have completed the Thieves guild quests you will be gifted with the Amulet of Articulation which will allow you to succeed in every persuade attempt.

Archery / One Handed / Two Handed

For weapon skills (One Handed, Two Handed and Archery) - use the aetherial crown trick or super enchant a dead thralls equipment (health) and then use that thrall as a punch bag. Disarm your thrall if you don't want to take damage although if you have super enchanted armour then you can level Light and Heavy armour at the same time that they fight back. To speed up the process use the Elemental Fury Shout to increase the speed of your attacks. Dual wield for One Handed attacks and use Zephyr (increases your draw speed) for Archery or the Longhammer for Two Handed (swings faster).

Use the Fortify Restoration Glitch to super enchant equipment with Fortify Stamina. This will allow you to perform power attacks over and over again. Block can be raised quickly by spamming this with the shield bash attack on enemies with a lot of health.

Aw crap.... Sorry about that. I've been delaying downloading the patch for just this reason. These are all the tricks I've been using to fast level characters up until now. I guess the grind of collecting materials is gonna come back. I would suggest deleting the patch, duping and then reloading but I think a lot of people have had trouble with that.

For speech - so long as you have joined the Thieves guild then you can bribe guards. Just commit lots of crime and wait to be accosted by a guard. Bribing is an alternate way of levelling speech quickly it just costs more. If you use some of the get rich quick techniques posted elsewhere (or just sell potions you make after the restoration glitch) then you should be able to make up the difference / pickpocket.

Edit* I took out any references to the dupe trick above. Hope what remains is still useful.

Hm, I might just use the fortify restoration glitch to make alteration spells cost nothing, and then make alteration legendary and cast paralyze on my follower. I have to spend a while getting 4/5 items 20-25% alchemy increase first though, and then get the two ingredients to make the restoration potions.

So a little symbol of the Empire appears when skills become legendary? Haha, that will irritate the die hard Stormcloak supporters.

I have to ask what may seem a stupid question.

What's the big rush to cheat up levels rather than just enjoying Skyrim and developing your character's skills and persona as you go?

I dunno. To me it all seems a bit complicated as I read what/what not to do.

And I'm still delaying bringing that "patch/fix" into my game. To me, Bethesda had messed up Skyrim even before its release, and apparently they have no knowledge on how to actually improve, rather than make it worse!

Personally, I'm too lazy to train my skills. I gain enjoyment via killing enemies, completing quests and collecting items such as books.
