How do you backstab a Dragon?
she's the housecarl that the jarl assigns to you when you become thane of Whiterun.
OH! So that's her name. She's the one that I'm gonna sacrifice when the time comes. I loathe her. If she tells me she's honored "my thane" one more time, when I come home, I'm gonna deck her. I think I'll take her adventuring tonight. Maybe she'll die. Hope it doesn't piss off the Jarl.

Is that fur coming out of your ears?
Sacrifice her to Boethiah (sp) when you get that quest!

Stealth works fine with followers as long as you can get them to equip muffled boots
Not in my experience. The bandits are gonna notice someone charging them with a battleaxe, Muffle or not :)

For random hired fly-by-night mercenaries I only give them the gold they ask for to be hired. For followers I use often (who I RP as friends and acquaintances) I allot them a certain percentage of the loot, usually about a forth. I just put the gold in their inventory on them as a counter. Then I deduct what I spend on armor, weapons, arrows, spell staves, swank clothes, enchanted amulets, what-have-you from their stash.

I am assuming that most of you need the crowds of people around you and like to work "cooperatively".

Fah! I don't want followers. I work alone. If the Quest calls for a 2nd party, I'll hire one. If someone wants to follow me, I warn 'em. I ain't gonna take care of you and won't mourn you when your gone. That's why I only use the hired guns. That way there's no guilt. They got paid and knew the dangers they were going in to.

The only one I ever felt guilty about was that kid from Reikstad that I got killed at a bandit hideout. I convinced his father to buy him some armor (which he obviously didn't - all he had was a cheap sword) and then came back and hired him 'cause I felt sorry for the farm boy. I won't make that mistake again.

I may equip you, but, I guarantee I'll retrieve my crap once your gone and you ain't keepin' it once you're no longer in my employ.

Until reading the post I never thought about giving them gold...coming to think of...I like it that way. ^_^

Considering I made Lydia all Daedric weapons and armor, no it really hadn't crossed my mind.

When it is time to split up ( and that time will surely come), I always give them a full set of armor, a good bow and sword, and nice piece of jewelry that I pick out from my stash. Of course, I do have a disturbing habit of getting my followers killed, so I don't have to do this very often.

I gave 22 gold to Kharjo to make his 8 into 30 so he could rent a room and have a nice dinner whenever he's not adventuring with me :).

What we do in life, echoes in the eternity !
None. Why should I give them money ? They have food, good weapons, armors, they go on an adventure with me and they were assigned to me to serve and obey me so they have more than enough from me. I don’t even use many of them so they are only watching my houses and eating and sleeping while I am putting my neck in the line to feed them, what the hell, they do have a better life than me ... lol ... :bluedragon:

No. They'd just waste it on mead or skooma and in the case of Serana, blood. Besides if i knew she had coin i'd have to fine her for shouting out "show yourself" when i'm trying to sneak. All my gold is spent of my wife and kids so they don't have to work but just hang around the house doing.......well not much really.

I don't know what Muira does but she always makes a 100 gold a day.... Perhaps it's best if i don't know.
