I am a wood elf!!!!!!

And the reason why I choose to be a wood elf is...

Wood elves are resistant to Poison and Desease by 50 %.

I like Wood elves because of there mischief making personality.

And I 100% suggest anyone who wants to become a scout theif, or theif/ assassin blend of gameplay. Go for a wood elf!!!!

My skills as a wood elf is always....

lockpicking #

pickpocket #

Archery #

illusion #

sneak #

one handed #

Are my main skill set.

So.... if you are a wood elf... What would you become in your skill set? and what style of Game play would you be??

My favourite style is assassin/theif, and my favourite race is wood elf.

So what is your wood elf skills????

I do have a Wood elf character though I don't play much with him. He has the basic skills for an Archer:
- Archery
- Sneak
- Light Armor
- One-handed
- Alchemy

He's not an Assassin, just a thief/archer.

I have a Bosmer assassin, similar build to both of yours :)

Elros spent his childhood near Falkreath with his parents, who were hunters, but they were killed by some rogue Imperial soldiers as a result of racism just before the Great War. He witnessed the attack, and ran to Cyrodiil where he joined a bandit gang. For over thirty years he ran with this gang (Elves live a lot longer than humans, so Elros is still quite young), before he left them to come back to Skyrim. Once he gets back to Skyrim, he does normal work like chopping wood, occasionally taking bounty-hunting jobs and the like. He makes his way around Skyrim, killing any isolated Imperials he finds. He would join the Stormcloaks, but knows how racist they are to non-Nords, especially Ulfric, so he carries on travelling alone. He joins the Thieves Guild, but gets horribly bored with their no killing rule, and is kicked out for his behaviour. Eventually he joins the Dark Brotherhood, where he gets the ultimate job as an Imperial-hating assassin (I won't spoil it, in case someone reading this hasn't completed the questline).

Main Skills -
Archery
Sneak
One-Handed

Minor Skills -
Light Armour
Pickpocket
Alchemy
Lockpicking
Smithing
Illusion

Why yes, I am! *tosses hair and bats eyelashes*
I'm level 26 and (just estimating) my primary skills are archery (60), lockpicking (56), two-handed (50?), heavy armor (50?) and sneak (50?). Then medium-ish skills are destruction, alteration, enchanting, and one-handed.

I'm not a thief by any means so my lockpicking experience is just from all the dungeons and stuff I've been in. I prefer playing the sneaky-archer style, but I have the less-likely 2h and heavy armor for close combat when it's necessary (like when Barbas keeps me from sneaking lol).
I like wood elves because they can still be many diverse character types aside from just being thieves/archers, and I mostly chose to be one myself just because of the connection to nature and being able to talk to animals. :3

edit: oh, and I didn't mention the resistance to disease or anything because I'm currently a werewolf which takes care of that fully, but that attribute will also be very useful to me once I cure myself of Lycanthropy. :)

My first Bosmer, Airigeil Ruagh, was mainly an archer-warrior. I retired her around level 70. That was a while ago, so I don't recall exactly what other skils she was strong in, although she did use some magic.

My second Bosmer, Eiron, started as a smith and hunter, and aside from basic healing skills, he used no magic. I developed his Smithing, Archery, Alchemy and Sneak skills the most at the start. Then he developed into more of an adventurer, so I added 1H and Block. Then he join the TG and developed all the Thief skills that he hadn't prior to that. he was a crazy good pickpocket as he had such high Sneak, he could just crouch next to someone and disappear (terribly unrealistic, but it was fun). I retired him at level 50.

My third Bosmer, Tayvalyn ar Gwer, started as an adventuring archer but is now more a straight adventurer. She has good Archery skills (around 60) but she has been developing 1H/Block technique more using Bound Sword and an Elven Shield, so right now, at level 39, her 1H is at 78, Block at 52, Light Armor at 65 and Conjuration at 54. She uses Fast Healing, Muffle and Flesh spells too. Because she collects a lot of loot her Speech is at 69, and her Smithing is at 70 (in part to building Lakeview Manor). She hoardes alchemy ingredients but she hasn't developed her Alchemy nearly as much as I have with other characters.

OP, my wood elf is my 2nd main and is basically just like you described minus the alchemy, which I substituted with enchanting.

My level-33 wood elf started off as a shoemaker in Riverwood, but is now known amongst the locals as the Wild Elf of the Two Moons. He is feared for his archery prowess (73) and his penchant for killing anything that moves at night when both moons are visible. Bards sing songs about his savagery, and children are afraid to go outside at night to "make water" out of fear that the Wild Elf will materialize in the darkness and put an arrow in their eye. (Urban legend - Agarond actually adores children, but does in fact put arrows in his enemies' eyes). His other skills include sneak (naturally), one-handed, and block (you can bash with a bow in melee distance). He recently joined the Imperial Legion out of love for his current home of Morthal, which was almost certainly destined to fall into Stormcloak hands. Now the Nord soldiers fighting for Ulfric are also afraid to piss in the woods, and are known to cover their eyes when they do.

Not yet, but I plan to make a Wood Elf character, only because I've been told I look like one. (As someone of Filipino descent, I have no idea which race to choose if I wanna make someone that looks like me. So I asked my friend who is also an Elder Scrolls fan, and he told me I look like a Wood Elf.)

Knowing myself, I'd make him good at archery ('cause Bosmers and lore and stuff) and one-handed (personal preference).

Shadow King

Grand master of the Order of Talos.
I play a wood elf at the moment my main skills are archery, lockpicking, sneak, one handed, alchemy, I love the Bosmer now, I dont know if this is true but I wanted to create a thief and obviously the best thief would probably be the smallest, so surely a bosmer would be harder to detect, I also use him as an assasin, the most negative and annoying thing about wood elves is this, there stupid ears they look like they have been glued on, its what u might find in a kids toybox plastic bloody ears (probs made in china)

I dislike games that don't allow my character to look oriental

If u play around with a bosmers hair, beard, eyes u can actually make him look pretty oriental.

Llywena

Dunmer-Obsessed Bosmer
Long-time wood elf here!

Having looked through previous posts in this thread, it seems that my character is in the minority when it comes to skill sets. My main character, a female Wood-elf named Llywena (currently level 45) is actually a mage, and her highest skill is in Destruction, which is *85. I sort of disregarded standard lore when I made her since I've always been the mage type but didn't want to be a Breton, Altmer, or Dunmer(I'm more of a Bosmer person, anyways). So when I made her, I decided right then and there that she would be a mage. It didn't seem too far-fetched to make a Bosmer mage, even if their natural prowess is in Archery.

Orcs Are Your Friends

Burz gro-Khash Is My Hero.
I play as a Wood Elf. My three top skills are Archery, Restoration, and One Handed, I believe. If not One Handed, then it's Conjuration, Light Armor, Sneak, or Speech.

? You mean to tell me that, with all the options on looks at startup that you couldn't come up with something? I have both an imperial and a wood-elf that look quite asian. I just modified their looks and facial features when I started up. My Imperial is based on my Aunt from Thailand and my wood-elf is based on my best friend Sung (she's Korean) and they both think that the characters look like them (sans the heavy weaponry and wild get-ups of course).

My wood elf is mainly into destruction, archery, alchemy, and sneak. Poisoned arrows FTW :p and when that doesn't work, she burns them to a crisp.

Would it be possible to see your basic perk spread and some playing tips for a build like this?

I find it intriguing!

Something like this?

http://theskyrimblog.ning.com/group...orum/topics/character-build-the-arcane-archer

Sure :D Rhiannon (my wood elf) is level 15 right now, but I've been testing out the mage/archer combination together for a while with various elf races, so I know exactly where I'm going with it.

I'll go in tomorrow when I get home from work and see what all she's got lined up as far as skills. (She and Athis have mostly been homesteading lately, so I've forgotten exactly where I'm at with perks...apparently beekeeping and growing leeks pushed everything else out of my mind :p)
