Yeah, the blacksmith's wife in Dawnstar is up the duff, but she'll probably never get her bump.

No baby trolls or mammoths? (those weird floating things in Solsteheim seem to come in different shapes and sizes though)

No she-giants (I wonder if they all buggered off somewhere like the Ent wives in LOTR)
But we do have female falmers now, so maybe we'll get more of the other things yet :)

Good point about the wool, though. You'd think there'd be herds of sheep, but we just get the odd goat. Maybe they use frost spider silk as well? ;)

And you'd think there'd be tailors and shoemakers in each of the towns.

Speaking of clothing - if the Radiant Raiment is supposed to be such an up-class shopping establishment, why are they also selling rags and greasy working aprons?

And how come we can make jewellery, but we can't we make circlets?

Lets not forget those pheasants. We see dead ones strung up, but no living ones out in the wild.

And no apple trees?

Edit: speaking of the pregnant woman in Dawnstar - I lost her in a vampire attack as well. So, we can't kill children and they can't die, but pregnant women are killable?? Charming.

Lost Ent wives.. Haha. I've also noticed those small floating things in Solsteheim. I said to my self: "That must be the floating things baby. What a cute little fella."

And what about the caves? Who the **** walks down there EVERY day to lit up the candels that are all around? Who are they? Or do the draugrs do it them self? I can just picture it.. They like it comfy down there I suppose. Candel-light dinner with the Draugr family. Wouldn't miss it for the world.

Also: Food that has been laying around in the empty caves for hundreds of years.. No mold or rotten tomatoes as far as the eye can see.

I know there are sheep in Cyrodiil, so perhaps Skyrim gets wool through the East Empire Company.

Yes, they trade alot. Thats where the woll comes from. But you'd think they would have a sheep or two. Or when I think of it, with wolves and bears all over the place there would be no sheep left...

I don't know if they would survive up there, skyrim is very harsh. Even growing food is an issue in Skyrim, the farms are barely scrapping by according to some NPC's, only farm doing well is Rorikstead.

Have they said anything about why it's so difficult to run a farm?

Oh just due to the climate I would assume, Skyrim is a rather harsh land. Even more so during the Civil war, the Legion which would patrol roads, garrison forts etc. But they are busy spread out across the land in Military camps. So people also mention that Bandits are becoming more daring with the lack of guards patrolling out of cities, while everyone is spreading to both sides of the Civil war, Stormcloak Fighters and Auxiliary Legions.

I guess because the game makers knew there would always be that one dickhead that decided to go round slashing babies with their iron daggers and I don't know if that would go down too well with the general audience. :p

The time scale would have to include birth, infants etc. Noone ages in Skyrim. I'm 5 years into my game and the kid in Dragonsreach still looks the same as he did at the beginning. The Jarl doesn't seem too bothered his son is still the same age.

Besides there's enough kids playing tag in Solitude 365 days a year as it is.

But isn't it so that you can't kill the children in Skyrim? That would lead to an odd situation if you had babies in skyrim. Killing all the parents, only babies left. Creepy. And sad.

honestly hearthfire was a bit....pointless as every house is the same different locations different glitches. I did like the kid thing...but this talk of prego wives? lets not go bioware on here or "fable syndrome" romance is a minor thing in a roleplay. bioware wore romance out beyond its boundries and continues to. i mean the point of your avatar is to save the world and stfu lol romance imo is killing RPG's. Though seeing NPC's prego or have more children in skyrim would put more sense in the world but that would be asking to much.

I can picture Rorikstead as a good place to farm. It is a bit sheltered from the rest of Skyrim. It's a nice and quite place. I must admit I steel wheat there for my health potions. They have so much wheat! But I don't like that abandoned cottage behind the hill... If you've ever been there then perhaps you know what I mean.

More variation in the characters is something I hope will just advance more and more in future games. But I'm no sucker for romance in games, just to make that clear. I tried to play Mass Effect 3 once... But it was just alot of awkward cutscenes and forced romantic tention between characters that I just didn't like at all. And in between those cutscenes you were supposed to shoot some aliens. Gave up the game pretty quick.

But making games more and more realistic and lifelike --> being able to to what ever you want .. thats what I hope will happen! You can still be a hero and save the world, but in your own way.

I just got married in Skyrim to make my wife give me 100 pieces of gold every single day and I don't need kids, much less adopted. Don't know where the kids came from but Dragonborn is probably castrated ... lol .. :vomit:

THIS. I just might be overanalyzing here, but every time I go to retrieve the horn of Jurgen Windcaller and I find myself in that room with all the dining tables...honesty, who the hell brought all this cheese down here? Were the Draugrs about to have a wine tasting?

I wouldn't have minded a few more races of adoptable children...maybe some Mer or Khajiit children? Presumably everyone but the Nords stopped reproducing when they came to Skyrim.
