Man you are an assassin not a warrior. And as an assassin you don't need armor at all... you are there to take a life without combat if it's possible, hence the dagger perk with 15x multiplier + gloves enchantment with also 15x multiplier. I think you have wrong idea about assassins being dressed like assassin. Like someone before stated you don't want to be obviously dressed as an assassin making people around you suspicious of you. You dress the way which will make easy to get closer to your target without suspicion. For example in medieval Japan ninjas weren't dressed all the time in masks and stuff. Most of the time lords have them for protection and they were dressed like workers doing hose chores.

yep, its the facial hair causing it! i been meaning to create a rugged nord character anyway, gave him just a little facial hair with long blond locks, went strait to harkon with serana, tossed on a novice hood after he vamped me and instantly went bald, not a normal balding either, he looked freakishly goofy bald! no way in hell could i play with my character looking like that.. oh well, i'll just cure the vampirism and make him a warrior. When you start a new character be sure to give him no facial hair whatsoever and it should fix the issue m8.

do you have the hearthfire dlc? cause thats the only dlc i don't have so perhaps that could be causing it somehow.. also what hood are you wearing thats doing this?

hmm.. perhaps its just the typical vampirism you get from being attacked by an enemy vampire causing it.. maybe you should try just becoming a vampire lord instead.

When my character contracts sanguine vampirism her physical appearance doesn't change. After stage 4 she still looks the same -except for the fact that she's bold now.
After I put on the Thieves Guild Masterhood my hair disappears and the hood turns invisible. Bethesda u rock!

does this also happen when you become a vampire lord? *getting bit by harkon after returning serana* also does it happen on other hoods aside from just the thieves guild variety? hooded robes, apprentice hood, adept, ect? i'm trying to figure out why this doesn't happen to me, cause i ALWAYS wear an apprentice hood with necromancer robes and ALWAYS play a vampire cause its the only way to unlock vampire lord form... hope i don't jinx myself but, never experienced the invisible hoody balding effect.. only never ending problem i face is non-stop game freezing, i'll trade ya!?

I don't have the Dawnguard DLC yet
so I can not answer the first question. And about your second question; it only happens to the Thieves Guild master hood. I have no idea what the connection is between vampires and the Thieves Guid...

yea that is a little strange.. i'd just go with a different hood, like a mage hood, you can usually get them off the thieves that roam skyrim and try to rob you, best part about those hoods is you can enchant them!I don't have the Dawnguard DLC yet
also you should look into getting the dawnguard dlc even if you're not getting the other two, its easily the best dlc there is for the game and well worth the money.

i disagree, talkguard bores me to the bone. as the joke i just made its all talk talk talk talk little fighting talk talk talk OH LOOK lets go traverse a huge oblivion tear with no map and respawning enemies. and little miss vampire princess whining about just about everything. "WAHH WEATHER, WAHH NEGLECTED CHILD PRINCESS" bitch. i nearly got my head chopped off, dragons have a massive urge to eat me. i have a forced destiny to kill dragon version of satan...and basically the whole world hates me. Did i mention NO ONE appreciates it? stupid vampires.

lol last parts a good point i suppose, but i don't recall any excessive talking and c'mon m8, serana has just as much right to be pissed as you do, how'd you like to be locked away in a ancient trap puzzle coffin for centuries by your disfunctional parents, come to the realization that your daddy who happens to be the most powerful vampire in existence will soon try to murder you to fulfill some insane prophecy you want no part of, your only help is some guy you just met whom you know absolutely nothing about nor his intentions or why he freed you from your coffin prison say for the fact that he's something called "dragonborn" which ultimately means he has problems of his own so good luck trying to find someone you can trust, oh and your mothers no help! she's hidden herself away in the spiritual realm..
trust me story wise serana has its worse than anyone, so imo she has every right to bitch.

1. the fact that both quests are long is a GOOD thing, especially when you consider that most add on story dlc's are less than an hour long literally, star wars tfu ultimate sith edition for example- just when you start enjoying it, thats it.. and this is practically text book for any dlc's of this sort so complaining about the length is like complaining about it simply being a GOOD dlc which makes absolutely no sense what-so-ever.. i commend bethesda for not half-assing us with the legth.
2. you can still get shadowmere on the dark brotherhood quests, "atleast i can" if you can't there may be a glitch in your dlc.. and it arvak bothers you that much just don't take his skull, its not like that quest is required anyway. i personally never use horses though so i'm not sure what to tell you on that one.
3. yes if you're not careful the vamps in the begining can and will murder npc's that are very useful, such as adrian the smithing chic in whiterun, one time they killed her and i was pissed! but only till i loaded back up the autosave and kept it from happening a second time, thats one of the great things about auto save.. use it!
4. i'm just not understanding your beef with dawnguard, not trying to sound like a prick but perhaps you're being way too hard on it, but to each their own.. i personally couldn't imagine playing any other way now.

like i said, you're just an impatient person, nothing wrong with that, but skyrim is the type of game that requires patients to enjoy, therefor perhaps its just not for you.. gamers like you are best suited for fast pace action platformers like devil may cry, god of war, dante's inferno, ect..
