My current character is an Altmer named Virana. She's a committed Thalmor. She came to Skyrim by ship after she was promoted to Justiciar . She has a great hatred for Nords, Talos worshippers and Stormcloaks in particular. She has been given permission to kill any and all Talos worshippers.

I haven't quite worked on a past for her yet.

Do you also agree with the Thalmor or is this just roleplaying? I don't have a Thalmor character yet but I really like the idea.

Right now, I'm agreeing. In fact I've always agreed with them, taking out the Elven supremacy part. I hate Talos, I dislike most Nords (Especially Stormcloaks.)

I have allied myself with the Thalmor through the console. They see me as one of their own.

I love the snow elves! I wish they were available in the character creation. There some mods for Falmer though. You could give that a try..
I can't play it on PC due to the lack of a powerful and fast enough computer to handle such sized games, I have it on PS3 so the mod won't be available to me.

I really wanted a fresh start with an Argonian other than with Rumar so I made a new one "Ram-Ku" and made him Rumar's older brother who is on the bad end of the spectrum. Loves chaos, anarchy, hates law and order. He looks somewhat similar but he isn't as dark as Rumar. He's taller, heavier, and more wicked than Rumar who is calm and collected. So far starting off I have killed the bard who wanders around singing two songs for your request (he wanders Falkreath territory) and he has killed Anise after discovering her place, killed a nearby hunter who was camping by the river and has ransacked his stuff. Now I just cleared out 2 giant camps and killed 4 giants on my own. Granted I outsmarted them, lured the last two toward Whiterun and the Khajiit outside the gates, one Khajiit wanted to be a hero and got smashed by one of the giants. So a few more Khajiit came to defend their kind and helped me take on the giants until they each quit and ran away. I then lured the two like sheep toward the Whiterun gate, the guard did his usual "halt" moment (I gave myself enough of a head start) the first giant came and smashed the ground at me with his club, the tremor effected the guard, one guard ran away while the one who holds you up at the gate fought bravely and died. I just killed them just before posting this comment and it was pretty intense. I got them both stuck and recorded it so you can enjoy the final moment of the 2nd giant.

...who is somehow unable to get his texture loaded... anyone ever have this problem? I waited in game, out of game, I jumped areas, I save/re-loaded, I even entered different rooms and still not loaded.

I'm back with another story!

Name: Estrid

Race: Altmer

Type: Sorcerer

Perks: Destruction, Conjuration, Heavy Armor, some Restoration, some Illusion

________________________________________Backstory_____________________________________________

Estrid was raised in the Summerset Isles, just like any other Altmer. He grew up thinking that the Aldmeri Dominion were the rightful rulers of Tamerial and would be the first to punish anyone who said different. He was respected throughout the Isles as a powerful Destruction Mage. As he rose in power, he gained some enemies. While mainly from small settlements that were under Aldmeri control, Estrid's foes began to seek each other out and bring him to justice. As they plotted against him, Estrid continued to rise in the ranks of the Dominion. He became the First Emissary of the Thalmor to the Kingdom of Skyrim. He was thrilled to hear the news and began to pack his things straight away. A ship was the to take him to the port at Anvil in Cyrodiil. Then he would board a carriage that would take him to the Thalmor Embassy in Skyrim. As Estrid arrived in Skyrim, he carriage was ambushed by a group of "Bandits". They were actually the group of Estrid's enemies. They learned of Estrid's new promotion and planned to ambush him on his way to the Embassy. They knew that since Estrid was so proficient in Offensive and Defensive Magic, the Thalmor wouldn't bother wasting the man power to escort him, thiniking he could handle a bandit or two if it were necessary. So instead of just sending a few people in for the job, they sent in 7 of the best men they could find to bring Estrid down. Estrid managed to defend himself for a while, but was overcome by numbers. He was beaten within an inch of his life and left for dead, the Nords thinking he deserved to die slowly in the cold. As the the cold came on, Estrid was barely able to stay alive by casting small amounts of Restoration spells. Eventually, when all his energy was gone, he passed out.

He awoke in the camp of a couple of hunters. They asked him is name, and he told them, but when they asked him questions about his past, he couldn't recall past waking up that morning. With only his name, some clothes, and 100 Septims from the generous hunters, he set off to re-build his life. He made his way toward Solitude, as that town sounded vaguely familiar to him, so it sounded like a good idea. He arrived just in time to witness an execution. Apparently, this man opened the gate for some man named Ulfric, who murdered the High King of Skyrim. As Estrid talked to people, some suggested that he should head to Winterhold and join the College, since most Altmer at proficient in magic. Estrid considered this and decided to give it a try. So he set off, leaving Solitude and headed for Winterhold. He walked almot all day before stopping at Whiterun. As Estrid was sleeping, he realized that he didn't know any spells! He decided to stop and see the Court Wizard in Dragonsreach before he left town.

The next morning Estrid went to Dragonsreach and purchased some basic spells, Flames and Healing, with the little money he had from the hunters and some odd jobs he did in Solitude. He read the books and found he learned them instantly! It was almost natural to him. He decided to mask hast to Winterhold. When he arrived, he knew he had made the right decision. The College was an instant home to Estrid. He was loved by all the staff and his fellow students. He even got J'Zargo to follow him on his adventures. This was the beginning of a new life for Estrid. One that he would be sure to remember.

My character is an Orc. He grew up in an Orc stronghold and I like to think of my character as the new chief. Even though i'm not but I just like to think like he is.

I feel I should contribute so i'll make up random backstory to a random character! he's an argonian who lived with a small tribe in the north of argonia it was very hard to get to but on his naming day bandits raided the village and killed everyone except him who got away. He was young, with no name and yet to taste the sap of the hist so he had to sneak into the destroyed village where the bandits had set up camp and stole a knife some food and some hist sap which is needed to grow properly. He then ran to a place where only he knew (which is where he used to play) and licked the hist to complete his development. when the development was finished he began hunting (which he had to teach himself to do) and building a safe place to live all while trying to forget the bandits who had destroyed all he had ever loved. One day he was out hunting when he heard voices, familiar ones that he had tried to forget. Bandits. there were four of them so he took his chance and leapt from the shadows, impaling one with his makeshift spear while slicing the throat of another with a knife. Next he slashed one with his claws ,severing the jugular, and finished the other one off by biting his throat out. He felt strange, he had a taste for blood and he liked it and upon searching the bodies he found a note containing the details of a drug trafficking bandit ring and the whereabouts of the bandits who had destroyed his village. so he has a bloodlust and targets, he felt it was time for revenge so he set out to end the bastards lives which lead him to the border between morrowind and skyrim with the leader, the last living member of those bandits who killed his people, at his mercy. There was no mercy shown and the bandit was torn apart by him. his quest was over and he had no place he belonged to so he became a traveller, wandering the lands of tamriel trying to find a place to fit in and forget about his bloodlust, his revenge and his traumatic past but that would be too simple. he was soon captured by imperials and was to be executed until a dragon attacked, he escaped and he discovered he is a dragonborn. he feels his past was an act of fate to bring him to skyrim and discover his powers so he could use them to stop others experiencing the pain he had all while satiating his hunger for blood so he finally chose a name. Strikes-from-shadows, some call him the shadow fang and he is dovahkiin.

My character is Utadeek, an Argonian warrior, and this is his story.
Utadeek knows nothing of his childhood, all he knows is that he was found in Blackwood just outside of Leyawiin, Cyrodill, with an amulet baring his name. He was found and nursed back to health by a kind family of locals, upon his recovery he discovers a stab wound and a large 3 pronged wound on his face, which over time becomes a very prominent scar. Because of his lack of memory and the fact that the fellow Argonians of Leyawiin shun him, he has become very withdrawn and brooding, sometimes even violent. Because of these mood swings Utadeek's adopted father takes him out hunting, so hopefully Utadeek can let loose some of this tension and aggression. A successful hunt saw the pair bag 3 deer, with Utadeek killing two of them.Proud of Utadeek the pair descended upon the local tavern to celebrate, when they arrive Utadeek's father spoke of their hunt to the tavern owner; a big brute of a Nord who upon hearing of the 3 deer kill roared with laughter; exclaiming " 3 deer?! friend in Skyrim we hunt fellow predators such as wolves, bears and sabercats!" Upon hearing the Nord's bellowing laughter it triggered something in Utadeek who then had a flashback, himself laying on bright white snow...but then a deep crimson slowly encroaching it's way through it, then he heard it; an ear shattering scream, when he looked up he saw a large toothed, furred animal clawing at a female Argonian, her head turned towards Utadeek their eyes met and she reached out her hand towards him, then he heard more Nord laughter; when he looked around he saw a group of Nords slaughtering Argonians, men, woman and children alike. Then Utadeek saw a black armoured, black scaled Argonian fighting back, slaughtering some of the Nords and wielding a greatsword with such grace and fury. Eventually all who remained standing were 3 Nords, the Armoured Argonian, the toothed creature and 2 wounded Argonians, in the blink of an eye the armoured Argonian had charged towards the Nords, cutting one down swiftly, but taking an arrow to the chest in the process. the largest Nord stood back while his "pet" leapt towards the Argonian; the pair clashed with Argonian eventually gaining a slight advantage and managing the slash the beast across the side and then kicking it to the snow where the beast noticed the wounded Utadeek. Utadeek tried to scramble away but his wound impaired him severely , the creature then slowly started creeping towards Utadeek and then lashed out at him clawing his face but before any more harm could be done, one of the wounded Argonian leapt onto the creature's back in hope of distracting it, this brave soul was shortly mauled by the creature, upon noticing this the Black Scaled Argonian turned and hissed at the last survivor " Get out of here! get back to Black Marsh..take my Utadeek with you!" With this order the injured Argonian scooped up Utadeek and ran, ran faster than anything Utadeek had ever witnessed, the last dwindling image Utadeek saw, was his father dying an honourable death; protecting his kin and family. and with that Utadeek came out of this flashback, a second had not passed during it, now he was possessed by a fire, a burning fury for revenge not just for himself, but for his kin and family. With this Utadeek promptly stood up and leapt across the bar, slamming the Nord owner to the ground, pressing his knife against the Nord's trembling throat, and then hissed "where is the snow?" the Nord whimpered back "the snow? what do you mean the snow" with this Utadeek roared "THE SNOW...WHERE IS IT?" realising the look in Utadeek's eyes the Nord quickly cried "To the North! Bruma and further North is Skyrim, Nord Homeland" Satisfied Utadeek grinned and then got up and left the tavern calmly and walked home to collect his belongings, then left Leyawiin without uttering a word to anyone, not even his adoptive family, but when they went home, they knew where Utadeek would be heading to, because their map of Tamriel had a knife planted through the middle of Skyrim. With this, Utadeek travelled north, first to Bruma, then to Skyrim. With the image of his Argonian father's Black Armour and Curved Greatsword burning in his mind and also the determination for answers..then revenge.
(Well folks lemme know what you think!)

Silence, my brother...
Name: Slovenská
Race: Imperial
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Class: All Around
Standing Stone: The Thief
Born: Anvil, Cyrodiil
Died: Lakeview Manor, Skyrim

Slovenská was born in Cyrodiil to a native Imperial father, and a Nord mother from Skyrim. His mother ran an inn and his father was a politician in Anvil. Slovenská ran the inn with his mother, he attended the bar and ocassionally served the occupants of the inn.

At the age of eighteen, Slovenská moved to Skyrim with his mother and father. They set up an inn at a small village. The village mainly contained Nord residents with a few Breton and Elf families. The streets were overcrowded and filthy. Crime was an average part of the day with many thiefs, vandals, and murderers. A year after entering Skyrim, Slovenská's parents fell into a depression. They never smiled, or laughed during their meals. All his parents ever did was work or sleep. Slovenská's mother began to lose weight, as well as his father.

On Slovenská's eighteenth birthday, his parents had a mini-party for him. A cake, some mead, and a bard. At the end of his party, his father gave him a brand new, sharp, steel dagger. The handle was made out of fresh leather and it was easy to grip.

After Slovenská went to bed that night, he had be awoke by a bright light from out his window. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. The light came from a building that was on fire across from his inn. There were soldiers outside killing a Nord family. He ran into his parents room to wake them, but they were gone. He ran down the steps of the inn into the main room to see his parents lifeless corpses with their killer standing above them. Laughing... cackling at his work.

Slovenská took out his new dagger, walking towards his parents' killer and shoved his dagger through their chest. The killer died on contact. Through all the action, he noticed that the fire had stopped and the screaming had subsided as well. Two Imperial soldiers stood in the doorway. Slovenská knew he was in trouble. A dagger in someone's chest... His dead parents' bodies.

The next day Slovenská was in a cart on his way to an execution to the town of Helgen. He was going to die. When they arrived at Helgen, his name wasn't on the execution list. But the Imperial Captain sent him to the chopping block anyway. As it turned out, it wasn't just a random person who murdered his parents. It was a Stormcloak Soldier, one of them had been executed. It was a gruesome thing to watch. Next, it was his turn.

He slowly walked to the chopping block. He got down on his knees and rested his head sideways on the block. Something roared in the distanced. It was barely visible. It was getting, closer, and closer. The executioner slowly lifted his axe. Soon the object in the distance landed on a tower near the execution. It shouted and the executioner fell. Everyone was in a frenzy, running this way, and that.

Slovenská escaped with an Imperial Soldier named Hadvar. They escaped to a village in Riverwood where Hadvar's uncle resided. Slovenská joined the Imperial Legion and worked his way up with General Tullius. The final battle commenced and they ended the war by killing the Stormcloak Leader, Ulfric Stormcloak.

A year had passed and Slovenská and Slovenská had become Arch-Mage of the Collage of Winterhold. He went to Sovngarde and killed Alduin. He also joined the Dark Brotherhood, as well as setlling down with a wife and two kids.

Slovenská had become extremely wealthy over the years. He had a safe full of emeralds, amethysts, gems, rare artifacts, and plenty of septims. His wife, who was extremely greedy, came up with a plan to kill him for his fortune. Before their family meal, Slovenská's wife poured a deadly dosage of Lotus Extract into his mead. During their meal, he drank his mead and slowly becmae sick. Before nightfall, he had died in his bedroom and his wife earned his fortune.

I hope you guys can make some sense out of that lol. He didn't die by poisoning, I had accidentally overwrote the save and y'know... and he married Lydia. She doesn't seem that way lol. But enjoy. I wrote this quick so there are mistakes.

I play as a Nord named Grof when he was younger he got drunk all the time an was a mercenary. Until one day a Bosmer gave him a special Mead that cursed him where every time he drank Alcohol he turned into an evil mage named Forg "you see what I did There". Anyway he turned into Forg and killed a Bunch of people so in Cyrodil so he had to leave to Skyrim. Where he still struggles with Alcohol today. Right now he is trying to make up for Forg's evil deeds so he became a Vigil of Stendar.

Benthos's back story:

He was born and raised in an Orc stronghold, there were a couple of close "friends" who framed him for the murder of a few young Orsimer. The real culprits of the murder pinned it on him and acted as witnesses, the entire settlement at FIRST didn't believe them but Benthos lost his patience during the trial and said a lot of things he didn't mean, this solidified the settlement's belief in him being guilty and they exiled him. They were about to send word out to the other settlements about him but he wouldn't have it. He tried to go back to talk to them one more time but due to his close "friends" still masquerading as witnesses (to him they said it was someone who LOOKED like him, but to the rest they whispered that it WAS him when in reality it wasn't) they AGAIN betrayed him and the settlement believed he was attacking them. Now fighting for his life, with mixed emotions, he managed to survive, killing almost everyone but his last "close friend" who was dying from a mortal blow. Due to his strong last words which burned into Benthos's psyche and changed his perception of the Orsimer forever.

For this long suffering of exile and being attacked by bandits (half of which were Orcs), he vowed revenge on the race itself due to the fact that what his dying "friend" told him about the race itself and the way they truly are, he wants to end as many as he can. He hates the Imperial Empire due to the fact that Orsimer always enlist to the Legion to hone their skills in combat and smithing. He hates the Stormcloaks because he feels they're whiny and fighting for an unruly leader. Something about Ulfric doesn't seem right to him and that usually means trouble in his eyes. Surprisingly, Benthos got married at one point during his exile, however she learned of his past and threatened to turn him in to the guards of Markarth where they were staying, he finally got to relax and start to feel like he's at a new home with a new family but then due to panic and several relatives who were backing his wife up, he feared for his life in the long run and killed her as well as her relatives. It doesn't help that they would quickly throw him in the inescapable jail for life and if he managed to escape, then what? He certainly wouldn't want to bother living in Windhelm knowing their Nords who hate all other races.
Thanks to the caring treatment of some Argonians (Rumar especially), Benthos has come to like Argonians, thanks to Loki the Unlikely in training him in magic for a few years as well as some of his fellow Dunmer, he has grown to enjoy their company as well.

Adrasteia Rhamnusia - Breton
At the age of 12, three generations of Rhamnusians living in Falkreath, staying on a farm with a hidden magic lab for research and experiments has all gone to waste. Thanks to Jarl Siddgeir who was affiliated with the bandits responsible for not only ransacking her home but murdered her family since they awoke to their intrusion. Granted, he didn't know they would rob and murder her family but they were protected by him. They weren't able to see any justice and this shaped her view of him, the only ones left alive were her mother and herself. They moved to Winterhold due to a family friend who lived up there who could give them a place of residence until they could move into their own home. Since then she grew to love magic and vowed to help those in need with her abilities. In case if the bandits were to cross paths with her, she will be ready to deal a swift death for her family. Currently at the age of 24, she has become engaged to Emperor Antonius (another character of mine).

Magnar Stonebreaker -

Born in Windhelm and raised by farmers, he seemed to live a simple and straight life. As a boy growing to become a man, he was shaped around fishing and farming, he desired to become a blacksmith and spent most of his time within the city limits instead of at his farm home with his family. He would constantly be called a milk drinker which in his mind was a blatant insult. He was to become a man, he wanted to be that man, the top of the city. He didn't desire to become high king or anything, he wanted to be the most respected man so he constantly trained to become a strong and independent man, so he would constantly lose arm wrestling matches and would start to learn how to smith a dagger. He showed promise and as his heart was in his craft, he would constantly grow and develop in a fine blacksmith. One fateful day when he was hitting 16 years old and was already winning most of his arm wrestling matches and even brawls in the Candlehearth hall, as he was downing Nord mead in a contest (and won) he was approached by a stranger. Apparently they saw his family farm being burned to the ground! He hurried out the bar, grabbed his favorite war hammer and headed home to try to save his family and their home.
Turns out that it was attacked by a vampire imperial and his thrall and he was infuriated! He was too late to save his family and livestock, he was too late to save the crops, they feasted on his family and he jumped into battle. He easily took out the Thrall, the vampire used necromancy to bring forth his father to fight him, while holding back his punches after trying to shake off his shock and horror, he eventually managed to break open his undead father's chest and ripped his own father's heart out. Then the vampire brought back his mother from the dead, he couldn't even lay a finger on her, he was pummeled into the ground by his undead mother whose power was enhanced due to being undead and not feeling pain or emotion toward her own teenage son. He crawled into his parents' burning room and eventually found his father's hunting bow. With tears streaming down his face, he sent the arrow into the face of his undead mother but didn't kill her, he had to kill the thrall knowing that he couldn't kill his own mother even if he tried.
He charged at the vampire with his warhammer, his mother constantly leaping in the way and forcing him to miss. He shoved his mother aside to get struck by the vampire in his side by the monster's dagger, he used the last bit of his energy to take one final swing which smashed the vampire's skull across the room in pieces. He watched his mother disintegrate with a face full of remorse into a pile of ash. He tried to gather the ash but it kept seeping through his hands. If it weren't for the passing of 2 guards of Windhelm, he surely would've perished within the farm house.
As he was brought in, High King Torygg questioned him on what happened, he explained it and they had to investigate to make sure he wasn't lying even though he was an emotional wreck. He signed up to become part of the city guard and managed to get up to Commander but left a few months prior to Ulfric's challenge to fight the high king. With the strength and cunning of a commander in combat and war, he put his skills to the test and hunted sabretooth cats and snow bears. From stealthily taking them down by bow and arrow at first, he slowly made his way to start taking them on in close combat starting with warhammer, to the battleaxe, to the mace, down to the dagger, and finally started to try his luck with his bare fists. He managed to pummel a cave bear into submission but lost his sight in his left eye in the process. He had headed south to see what challenges awaited him, taking on bandits, thugs, vampires, werewolves, as well as the animal life. He seemed to be doing well until he was taken in to Helgen by Imperial soldiers mistaking him as a Stormcloak rebel and it didn't help his case when they asked him where he was from and his answer was that he was from Windhelm. This was what drew the line for him toward the imperials and their alliance with the Thalmor (knowing that he almost was slaughtered by a group of wandering Thalmor), he was sent to be put on the chopping block as if it didn't matter that he was innocent. When he saw the gates of Helgen approaching by carriage, Alduin attacked and he along with another prisoner managed to escape thanks to the intrusion of Alduin.

From that point on, he decided to no longer support any Imperials, he will help out the Stormcloaks in the war for a bit but he is iffy about fighting in the civil war, something doesn't seem right to him and he plans on retiring from the war life soon and start his own blacksmith shop since he got married to the lovely Agni near Falkreath. He stumbled across her cabin and shared some similar injustice with the strong and she was exactly what he wanted - an independent Nord woman. During one of his outings, he was hunting for his dinner out of uniform as usual and was ambushed by a small group of Imperials. They thought he was someone else, didn't believe him and this truly irritated him to the point of fighting to the death. He took down one of the 4 soldiers and killed their officer in the group, took his helmet and shield and then took down the remainder soldiers. He hurried back, suited up, and alerted fellow soldiers of the scouting groups nearby.
That helmet has helped him in many battles whether with soldiers, Thalmor, vampires, werewolves, etc.
In game - I got that helmet in Helgen when siding with Ralof upon escaping - still have it on.

Ivory

Let's Player
Ivory is an Ancient Falmer ,who, much like Gelebor was a knight paladin who had a small group of survivors in Solsthiem. Having never agreed with the sacking of Sarthaal way back then, and survived a battle with a band of humans on this attack, he saw the ferocity of their inner strength to survive and grow. He along with around fifty paladins veterans after that attack went into hiding, fearing with worst of the Nord's vengeance and the Dwemer's unflattering cruelty. He was not the one leading the group, However once the leader was killed by an arrow from one of their own who wanted to go to the Dwemer for help, he took charge to punish the betrayer by stripping him of his Magicka reserves for life. Something he never figured out how to do again. As a respect to his fallen brother who called Solsthiem his home he was dedicated to staying there.

As time passed, their numbers dwindled either by Nature, Nords, or even other races who enticed those who lost hope. Ivory's motivation was fueled more and more, remembering those yellow eyed Nords who he fought so valiantly against him. The passion for their people as they were slaughtered by his own fueled him to discover that humans, despite everything were a being to respect even if young. This didn't stop him from growing hatred for them as his people dwindled into nothing as centuries passed. over the Eras he's survived to the point of being alone, he watched as time passed him by, watched as the world continued on without his people.

All of his time was dedicated to doing anything to survive, to preserve himself and keep his people alive even if he was the last remaining Falmer. While he is not immortal like a Vampire, he has Mastered Restoration beyond that expected of anyone, even an Elf. He refused to die, refused to be taken by times hand. He didn't spend his time just sitting in a dark cave all his life however. He studied humans, Nords, Dark Elves, High elves, anyone that traveled to Solsthiem. He learned the ways of the Voice, but didn't except using the power of the Voice to worship the Gods. Instead, taking it as the God's gift to him to help him survive longer. He decided to Travel to Skyrim, go back to his home and find out what it became for himself. He stayed in the shadows of the northern snows to survive. The Nords didn't take kindly to him, and it showed even when getting off the boat.

After avoiding the conflicts of Tamriel up to this point, and feeling the sadness of there being no trace of his people at all, he grew to love this New Skyrim as he calls it and the people in it. One night, he was ambushed by werewolves and having easily survived them before, he managed to hold them off before being cornered by three of them. It was just enough, having taken damage to his left eye in the scuffle and a painful bite to his right shoulder, he saw those yellow eyes on the two humans as the werewolves change back to themselves and one elf. In a blind rage to survive, he once more as he did so many Eras ago, slaughtered the trio. Again these Golden eyed Nords were almost his death. After a week or so of feeling weak and sick, he merged in the den of the dead werewolves as one himself. After a lot of strife, he worked to gain control over himself but failed again and again, wanting to find a cure that just wasn't there. He heard of Hircine's ring and made it his biggest pursuit. It wouldn't be till his infamy as the White Werewolf nearly one hundred years later that he would find Sinding and help him against the Hunters and be rewarded with Hircine's Ring. He came to settle in Riverwood, peaceful, and the nords there (save for Gerdur and her family) didn't mind his presence as long as he worked. Soon, he heard of the rumors of a Dragonborn while he was out of town and saw Alduin himself overhead. As he returned to town, he bumped into a tan female Nord with white hair like his and noticed her eyes. She was wearing nothing but the usual mercenary outfit for the time and after his reluctance to help this woman get through Bleakfalls Barrow, he went along with her. Never realizing that she was not only the Dragonborn, but the woman he was going to love. Not to say the hardships he would endure as he saw what has become not only of his people, but the people of Skyrim and the Empire in the future.

I'll update with my dragonborn's backstory soon, Selena.

New Member
Helles is a wood elf born in a small village deep in the forests of Valenwood. His parents publically denounced the Thalmor for their war crimes and soon started an underground organisation to take on the foul Thalmor. However this backfired when the Thalmor learnt of the location of the organisation. They burnt down the entire village and killed all adult bosmer citizens.

Not knowing where to gothe children of the village, now orphans, rebuilt the village on the remains of their elders. They did not often speak of the horrendous event, but inside all of them was hatred and despair. When the oldest of the children got killed by a Thalmor patrol several years later the Bosmer could no longer contain their anger. They swore that they would keep killing Thalmor till they were no more. Even if it would cost them their lives.

Years of violent resistance against Thalmor settlements followed. In time the casualties grew and they found themself being chased out of Valenwood to Cyrodiil. At this time only two Bosmer remained, Helles and Mette. In an effort to lose the Thalmor they split up and flee to Skyrim. However their reunition was hindered when Helles was captured with some stormcloaks when entering Skyrim.

A dragon however prevented Helles from being executed and he hurried towards Whiterun to meet Mette. They found each other in the Bannered Mare. Loyal to their pledge to undermine the Thalmor they travelled Skyrim killing Thalmor and raiding bandits for money. One unfaithful morning they were raiding a forsworn infested cave and they were outnumbered. Mette got killed by a briarheart and Helles froze. This was the drop that made him insane because now he was alone. Everyone else killed, the whole village killed. In an orcish like frenzy he brutally murdered all remaining Forsworn. Helles bitterder than ever knows no more remorse.

One of my characters is a native from Cyrodill.
She lived in a small village near a river. Most people who lived there were hunters, loggers, blacksmiths or farmers. Her early childhood was easy - sometimes even dull. She loved to listen to soldiers and travelers in the local tavern. She had this fascination for adventure and started collecting maps and information about the provinces of Tamriel.
When she turned 16 she decided to leave Cyrodill. She became the assistant of the local blacksmith and saved her wages. At the age of 18 she started her journey to Skyrim. The money she saved wasn't enough. most of it was spended after financing her provisions and a horse.
When she crossed the border she ran right in an Imperial ambush. Her horse gets killed and the Imperials took her in a carriage to Helgen. What happens next, is obvious ;)

After her escape she fled to Riften. A Stormcloak city, under great influence of thieves, seemed save for a fugitive. In Riften she wasn't able to find a proper job. That's when she got in contact with the Thieves Guild. After a few months she started to earn their respect and she even climbed their ranks. It didn't took long before she became their leader.
Thanks to the Thieves Guild's connections in the province she got in contact with the Dark Brotherhood. She started coöperating with Astrid and joined them. She mades lots and lots of money working for both and became a notorious dignitary.

But she wasn't a bad person. After a while she started thinking about her way of life. She doubted her choices and left the Danwstar Sanctuary. She kept in touch with the Thieves Guild though, but didn't operate for them anymore.
Soon she discovers she's the Dragonborn. After that she gains much status and is able to leave her criminal life behind her. Because of her importance to Skryim (and Tamriel) she gets forced to pick a side in the Civil War. Someone like the Dragonborn could not stay out of this. She sides with the Imperials and becomes a war hero.
did your character grow up near one of the small communities near Leyawiin perhaps?

I don't only have a backstory but I also give my character a motivation like, why do I join the dark brotherhood or theives guild why do I become a vampire or a lich, for more immersive purposes I go one step further and give my character a way of life, in other words does your character pray to deities, if they do do they leave offerings, do they sleep when it is nighttime or if they are a vampire do they sleep in a coffin during the day, is their a type of enemy they avoid or place in skyrim and so on

The Martial artist
Sayumi Lili was born in Whiterun but sadly her mother died in childbirth and her father ran off so Sayumi grew up on the streets with Danica Pure-Spring from the Temple of Kyne and was raised to be a good person so when Sayumi hit 16 she went to Mr. Grey-Mane at the Skyforge and bought some armor and a sword to become a Merc on her first mission where she also met Midnight (another of my characters) she was sent to DarkWater Crossing where she was caught in the Imperial ambush on the Stormcloaks and sent to Helgen where she then escaped and started traveling the lands looking for a partner to join her as a Merc when she hit Riverwood she meets up with the bard Sven and she helps him out and decides to have him join her for glory and wealth and the story unfolds from there

Patches was only a small khajiit when her parents had been killed. Her parents, Kiki and Krieed, were adventurers, and they were exploring a large ruin in skyrim known as Labyrinthian. Her father Krieed was more interested in the maze than the actual temple, and while he was just about to unlock the great secret the maze concealed, he simply vanished, and no body was found. Her mother Kiki focused on the temple and was killed by Morokei, but she put up a great fight and weakened him before she was burnt to a crisp by lightning. Somehow the little girl was able to escape with her mother's weapon, Soulshatter, but was traumatized by her parents' death and went off to go where she truly belonged.

As she grew up she travelled a dark path, with theivery and murder. She was accepted into the Theive's guild and she had a strange feeling about another Khajiit, Ty. They worked together reluctantly and grew into master thieves together.

Later in life, in her twenties, she discovered that the other Khajiit was actually her brother. Ty was skeptical at first, but he believed it. But soon after this discovery, vengeance stirred in her heart, and she wanted to avenge her parens deaths by wiping out all of the remaining Dragon Priests.

This vengeance grew when she discovered she had the natural power of the Thu'um, and surprisingly, Dragonborn. She came across a worshipper of Mehrunes Dagon and killed him in the Daedric Lord's honor, but Mehrunes sent his Daedra after her. One of these was her father, Krieed, who was imprisoned byMehrunes, and eventually became a great warlord.

Meh, will contunue later....

How do you backstab a Dragon?
Given my history with Skyrim I have recently started extensive background stories for my characters. Just mindlessly going through quests without rhyme or reason doesn't do it for me.

I just started a new character over the last 10 days while I've been on vacation and am concentrating on actual development. I am keeping a journal here on the forum for him (http://skyrimforum.com/threads/the-story-begins.32972/).

I wanted to thank all of you for all the suggestions and hints on this. I am enjoying this character so much more than my others and, believe it or not, he's an Altmer!
