Obviously my vote goes to the Thalmor, I've always loved both the Altmer and the Dunmer, the Altmer probably just edge it.
My main character is an Altmer Vampire sneaky mage that fully supports the Thalmor and High Elven supremacy
I think if you really look into the history you'll see that Elves were in Skyrim before the Nords, so all this 'true sons and daughters of Skyrim' crap doesn't really makes sense, you Nords are the true sons and daughters of Atmora, your immigrants in Skyrim and unwanted ones at that.
As for my favourite playable faction I'm not really sure, I enjoyed the vampires, Dark Brotherhood, Thieves guild and the College. For absolute favourite it's probably between the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild.

the blades all the way for me. I do not trust Paarthunax, for all we know he's helping us in order to take up the mantle himself, replacing one terror regime with another one. Him saying that we should trust doesn't really help either. Nothing as untrustworthy as a man(or dragon), saying 'trust me'.
As for all the ones complaining about being bossed around by delphine and esbern, refusing because after all YOU are the dragonborn, try and listen to yourself. Paarthunax even asks you, if you haven't felt the blood in your vains demanding you to rule. You sound like spoiled brats at best, alduins heir at worst.
The group I like the least? The Thalmor.
