Peace I can only imagine
So I'm playing my hundredth play through and was outside of labyrinthian examining how my character looked during that time battle music started and my face changed from normal to a more disgusted look. People may already know that it changes but this is my first time ever noticing this due to the fact that I never look at my characters face when I'm in battle I just ready myself and attack. So has anyone noticed this but me?

O_O guys, I never knew that! That's so awesome! I always fight in 1st person and I really only look at myself from the front when I'm changing clothes to see how something new looks... Now I want to try it and see what I look like! :D

Lol same here I never pay attention to my facial expressions because I thought it stayed the same now I'm going to actually look at my character a little closer and see what interesting things he dies but his battle face is to funny it just looks like he smelled something nasty

If you have the PC version of Skyrim, you can get the "Player Headtracking" mod from the Nexus, it also needs the Brawlbug fix mod, which seems to be broken with the 1.9 patch. Anyway, it works just like the player character would work in Oblivion, when an NPC approaches, the player character will look at them, and follow their movements.

If you're in front of two NPC's, the PC will look at whoever is speaking, so if you watch Amren and Saffir's argument, your character will look at Amren when he speaks, then Saffir when she speaks. If it's a follower or what not, the player character will smile at them.

I don't understand why Bethesda scrapped the headtracking/expressions. They had that stuff in Oblivion, but since Fallout 3, the Player Character just stands there expressionless, always looking forward, the only time the expression changes is during combat.

And if you remain in the Brotherhood, your default expression is a sinister smile.

I've only just noticed it recently as well. My khajiit character is a vampire, and has fangs like a sabre cat, but one time these red dots showed up on my navigation bar, and I had the camera on his face, and noticed him baring all his teeth and his eyes were glaring, and I thought maybe he had gone through another transformation, but his expression calmed down when the red dots disappeared.

Well, cats LOVE red dots. Surprises me that he didn't chase the dots since they were moving, though.

I love that detail when ears go backwards when your char is in the fight. :)
