In my offline RP journal, I've taken to calling the road that leads from Riften to Ivarstead "the Autumn Road." So many things have happened to my character on that road, I just had to name it.

Have any other RPers or fan-fic writers come up with creative names for the various roads of Skyrim? If so, what do you call them? It would be so much easier to describe my character's journeys if the roads had names.

I dubbed the long cobble road from Whiterun to Ivarstead as "Pilgrim's Way". It's mostly a lore-based name.

The shorter one from Helgen to Ivarstead is called "Haemar's Pass", named for the vampire cave at the base of the mountain.

And finally, the road leading from Whiterun to Rorikstead is called "The Veldt", named after a savanna-like region in FFVI.

Great names. Thanks for the response. I might start using these in my journal. If I ever post it (doubtful), I will give you full credit for the road names.

I called the road from Whiterun to Winterhold "Hope", since the journey from Whiterun to Winterhold is pretty long and you hope that you will reach Winterhold soon.

The freezing cold, the hostile animals and creatures that may attack you out of the blue and the length of the road fits its name perfectly for me.
But also for all the other people in Skyrim that have to travel on this road, I think that they all share the same thoughts on that one.

I call the road between Helgen and Ivarstead as ''Gateway to Autumn''.

Shor's Stone to Windhelm - 'Passages of the Hot spring' due to the springs of Eastmarch in the way.
