I'd love to do a bit exploration in either the Black Marsh or Elsweyr! The Khajiit seem to be dropping lots of hints about their homeland, so whether that reflects Bethesda's intentions or whether our dear feline friends are just a little homesick is of some debate in my mind! :p

Summerset Isles sounds pretty good. "An ancient land shrouded in mystery."

But here's for another suggestion. What if they don't decide to set it in Tamriel at all, and move onto one of the other continents in the Elder Scrolls planet?

While possible this is pretty unlikely. Tamriel is the only continent on Nirn that is mapped, named, or even known, and already has extents of lore and story left in it to be explored. I wouldn't expect that there will ever be entire continents added to TES franchise. Possibly more islands or even pieces of continents, but Tamriel will most likely remain the only major land mass.

Although this sounds like an interesting idea, I think that Bethesda, and most of the fans, will want to finish exploring Tamriel before moving onto another continent. I think I'd be a little heartbroken if they decided to move away from our beloved Tamriel this early in the series, there's still so much to explore! However, discovering and exploring a new continent would be quite exciting in the future!

not true friend some are named, we all know of atmora where the nords originally came from and then there is the small continent where the sloads live.

Yeah, I think you've got it there. I don't believe the other continents are as large as Tamriel anyhow.

i completely agree there are other continents to go to on the planet of nirn but going to them would be pointless until tamriel is explored, although it would be quite difficult to go to another continent at all as the team would have to pretty much start again from scratch.
it would be great to see more expansion packs on other areas not in tamriel as i did enjoy shimmering isles in oblivion.

I think Elsweyr, since the traveling Khajiit traders in skyrim begin to desribe thier homeland and mention great underground cities under the sand. This could well be a hint as to the next province, and what to expect. I doubt they'll do Morrowind again because they would have to recreate all the landscapes and this would be boring because they've already defined it and making a new unseen place woul allow complete freedom. I certainly don't think it will be all of tamriel, because to create an entire continent of the same amazing quality as Skyrim would take far too long. That might be the last game they do before moving on to a new continent. Or maybe even a new planet (although making a new planet would make all the extensive lore they've compiled redundant so that would probably not be done).

Summerset isles would be pretty nice, or a game set in the past with snow elves and dwemer involved but I guess that wont happen since they seem to be moving forward in time :p

I do not care about were it takes place (kind of) but a nicer more peaceful environment will be my choice

Must be my Nord blood......
Since neither Elswyr and The Black Marsh are massive in scale, why not throw both into #6? The range in landscapes alone would be impressive. Double the storyline.....I'm in. Use the land east and south of Bravil to connect(maybe). By the time we get the TES 6, the next generation of consoles should be here. No doubt they'll be able to handle a game of that size. The real concern I have is seeing how they follow up dragons.

I like the idea of using two provinces as being playable. as for following up dragons, after you defeat alduin you can still fight them so there probably would be some left >.> but maybe the new enemy could be like I dunno... the Thalmor? :D:D

Actually, Black Marsh is only a little bit smaller than Skyrim, or about the same size actually. I was thinking more like Hammerfell and High Rock would be good.

I wander if using all of Tamriel could be done. Not the way arena did, of course, but instead with a bit of continuity. Like, could the game designers salvage some of the old sets, improve the graphics, add appropriate ageing, make a TON of new stuff and locations and take advantage of some of the nostalgia the player would get from the whole thing? Sort of a big project, you know? Of course that would have to be held back until they finish the series. As for Elder Scrolls 6, though, I'm gonna guess Hammerfell's next up.

Very nice idea. A conflict between the Khajiit and the Argonians would be neat too. With the Dunmer invading the small island inbetween Elsweyr and The Black Marsh.

It will be interesting in the next game to see the state of the Empire and the Thalmor Dominion. The Empire is struggling and not just Skyrim seems to be sick of Cyrodillian rule. The Redguards, Elsweyer and the Black Marsh have all suceded from the Empire. And with the Dumner virtually homeless after the Argonian invasion of Morrowind and Vvardenfell being pretty much uninhabital due to the volcano exploding, they are pretty much wanders of sorts now. If High Rock sucedes too, the empire is going to be throwing Wood Elves and Sweet Rolls at people.

I voted for The Summerset Isles. Altmer, High Elves, would make for a good race to play as a mage.

The books scattered through out the realms talk about the mysterious order of mages (Psijic Order) who are somewhere in The Summerset Isles. IF the story-line incorporated this region, which disappeared about 100yrs. prior to the civil war which is presently happening in Skyrim, it could make for a very interesting plot.

I hope that future TES games are designed so each province is where the next generation of the game evolves to. The present game engine is more than adequate and instead of developing a newer one, leave it as it is but, build new story boards, which should keep the price to develop the future game content reasonable.
