Frustration! I can use spells to refract the light, but I cant figure out how to line all three bttons up. Help Please!!!

Each of the dwarven pedestals atop the ramp rotate one of the three horizontal ceiling panels. The trick is to press the button on each pedestal so the panels shift sideways until one of the blue mirrors lines up with the light beam. (The inner row will be behind you to the right, the middle will be just to the left and the last will be just on the right.) The beam then ricochets off and up to the ceiling mirror. When all three light beams hit the ceiling, you know the Oculory is focused properly.

Also, you might have to use either a fire or ice spell on the central ball of mirrors to make them change shape, then use the levers to change the light beams to align them all up.

I searched this thread when I got to this quest, did a little research on the net, as follows:

The trick is, it isn't so basic as just using a fire spell or an ice spell. Nothing hints towards the answer: channeling frostbite with both hands, this method moves the lights into the right place. After that, you simply line up the glass....thingabobs.
Nope none of the suggestions have worked for me. I play on my xbox 360 and its plain broke. I placed the focus crystal in, it did something, I didnt have the spells so left and got them and came back then the guy told me they were there. can not get it to move after 8 hours of trying it, this is non stop so it is broken for me, is a shame as i like the game but there are many glitches with the xbop like game freezes etc. (fixed it and appoligize for the grammer)

There should be the spell tomes there for flames and frostbite next to the controls.
