I just made a new weapon for killing vampires/undead. It's a silver scimitar with flame enchantment. I call it "Twilight Sucks".

What makes it especially cool is that it's a Curved. Sword. :D

The best names are the ones that keep the game fun, as for me I like lore-friendly names that draw from the game's literature or themes. Also playing D&D in the past helped, and constantly naming equipment sharpens it... hell just pause the game or save till you think of one. Here are mine:

Tundrastriders : Leather boots w/ stamina+ & frost resistance
Alduin's Tooth : Ebony Greatsword w/ soul trap
Thunderhawk : Hunting bow w/ shock damage & magicka damage
Cap of the Weald : Hat w/ Archery+ & stamina regen+
Apprentice's Ring: Ring w/ Smithing+
Frostgleam Stone: Ring w/ Frost resistance
Flamguard: Ring w/ Fire resistance
Stürnbuster: Ring w/ Shock resistance
Band of Diffusion: Ring w/ Shock resistance & magic resistance
Choker of Unbridled Fury: Necklace w/ Two-Handed+
Gauntlets of Bloody Reckoning: Ebony Gauntlets w/ Two-Handed+
Ring of the Besieger: Ring w/ Two-Handed+
Deerstalker Boots: Leather boots w/ Sneak+ & stamina regen+

Saving the best names for my optimized eq., only thought of one ("Fires of War") for my Two-Handed+ & Smithing+ gauntlets. I have no shame spending hours even days before I think of the perfect name with countless thesarus referencing.... have fun with it is what I say. You create your Skyrim experience; my friends think I'm dumb for spending all that effort, but I'm the only one still playing.

I'm too lazy to come up with names, I just put "sneak" or "frost" at the end of them!

I did enchant a war hammer with shock one time, though, and called it "Mjolnir"

Kulaasvokul

Do you mind? I'm busy doing the fish stick!
I enchanted my blades sword just to see what it was about, as it was my first enchantment, and I called it "sword of super happy fun times."... :p I never used it anyway.

Hm. I've never actually enchanted in Skyrim before. But if I did, I would enchant a hammer and call it 'Time'.

So, just curious - what are some of the names you've given to your enchanted items? Despite a decent vocabulary, creativity in naming eludes me. The names I've given things are practical & straight forward. "Scaled Armor with Health Bonus". Lame, I know. The "best" I've done as for creativity - "Lydia's Fire & Ice Ebony War Axe" (dual enchanted with fire & frost damage). I know some of you probably have nifty names, seen a few - would love to see more if you are inclined to share. May be I'll find some inspiration...

I have a ring which regenerates magic - I call it 'Spawn of Krishna'.
Also a necklace which improves smithing which I call 'Blessings of Hephaestus'. My second necklace which increases my health is called 'Dante's Elixir'. I have a scimitar which I intend to enchant soonish. Plan to call it 'Khal's Bane' in honour of Khal Drogo. Yes I know the Dothraki use Arakhs not Scimitars but it's the closest looking weapon I could find ;)

I've only ever enchanted two items: a Glass Sword and a Daedric Bow.

The sword has a fire enchantment (burns for 10 points), and I named it Bandit Burner.
The bow has a soul trap enchantment and is called Essence Eater.
I'm going to enchant a third weapon, if I find a Glass or an Ebony Sword, with a frost enchantment. It's going to be called Forsworn Freezer.

I like alliteration, as you may have guessed. :D

Edit: An Ebony FF now exists.
And a health-increasing Glass Shield called Priceless Protector.

Also had twin Daedric swords. One I enchanted to cause fire and ice damage, I called her Death-Eater. The second I enchanted to absorb Health and Stamina. I called her Life-Giver. After I improved them with 100 smithing and trained in one-armed combat, Death-Eater and Life-Giver were monsters that I would use to raid caves and crypts with reckless abandon. I supplemented them with two Daedric Greatsword which I max-improved and enchanted with Soul trap and shock damage, Paralyze and frost damage. I called them 'Dread' and 'Despair'.

Oh yeah, and I have a ring with Destruction and Conjuration enchantments. I call it a 'Chaos Ring'. A circlet with Fortify Alchemy enchantments which I call....wait for it......'Snape's Wisdom'.

On a side note, yet still related, has anyone determined wether or not the timer on an Enchanter's Potion still runs in the background while in the naming screen? That is the biggest reason that I have not named anything real nice yet.

Thanks!

Enchanted a Hunting Bow with Huntsmans Prowess, named it Elkbane, an Orcish Warhammer with Drain Health and Paralysis named Curse of Skol'Kannar and a Gold Necklace with Fortify Conjuration named Amulet of Resurection.

As long as you quickly choose the effects, item and soul gem, you can be on the naming screen as long as you like. Just don't change any of the three after naming and you're good to go.

As long as we're on the topic of cool names....on one of my game saves, I called my character 'Harry Dresden'. I, of course, got myself a staff of flames and maxed out destruction to complete the look.

Named my old dual-wield pair of Glass Axe and Glass Sword "Ultimus Heaven & Earth"

Let's see who can determine from where I borrowed the name. :D

Hello i am new to these forums. Anyways, if anybody likes playing black ops zombies, it would be cool to dual wield ebony daggers and name them Mustang and Sally

"Greatsap" renamed from the Longhammer double enchanted with Absorb Stamina. (A Drainheart Sword has a unique effect you can stack on the regular one.)

"Haxor" Ahtar's Axe with Absorb Heath, and Firey Soul Trap.

"Gabber" Windshear with Absorb Stamina, and Cold Damage (For Nightmer.) Paired with "Darkstep" Valdr's Lucky Dagger with Absorb Stamina, and Magicka. For Backstabs, he casts Invisibility, and Silent Rolls away, but in an open fight, he's a Spellsword. So Stagger, Stamina Drain/recovery, and Slow to impair the enemy as much as possible.

I love Enchanting items that already have intrinsic effects, with Extra Effect. Like Fast 2Handers to proc the Cast On Strikes faster, Axes to stack Bleed from Perks with Burn, and Absorb Health, plus Soul Trap keeps it topped off (With gems, or the Black Star.) "Haxor" alludes to the fact that it's actually 4 effects on Strike, and it strikes at War-axe speed. Extra Effect is just the beginning...

My circlet that has fortify destruction and magica enchantments is Circlet of Wisdom and fine clothes with same enchantments are called Robes of The Judge.

DarkRaiden

Sir Reginald Von Bartlesby
I made a Wooden Sword with Chaos and Fire damage. I named it Durandal. It's name is from Medieval European folklore. It was said to be the sharpest sword in existence.
Oh and I named my ring with Destruction cost reduction and magicka regen (double enchanted for higher bonus) Bling Ring of the Swaggermeister.
