Not sure if anyone has done anything similar here but let's give it a go :p. Anyone has piercings or tatoos? If so, where?

I'll start, I have my left ear lobe expanded to 14 mm as of today, my right one is only at 2 mm. A septum piercing, and I'm getting my first tatoo, the blink 182 logo, as soon as 2012 starts ^.^, what about you guys?

Just in time for the fiyahworks show! BOOM!
I wish I could get tattoos, but I'm poor as hell. Bills come before getting flesh inked.

Have 7 holes in my ears and 3 tattoos. Going to make the appointment to get one my tats added to this week, so excited! I have a tiger cub on my shoulder (coz i'm cute but dangerous) have 2 hearts joined by an arrow (because my cat and dog are my life) and a seahorse on my upper arm (because 2009 marked my 10th year of living with depression and borderline personality disorder). My seahorse is getting butterfly wings added because I've changed so much this year.

Soon as I move out, I'm so getting tats. I enjoy the idea of having art on my body.

I'm thinking I may get one on the top of my foot, just because I know lots of people with them and it seems like a cool spot for them. Like my boss has a skeleton with a mohawk riding a skateboard and sticking up the rude finger on his right foot, one of the girls i work with has birds on the side of her left foot, and another guy I work with has a beer bottle tattooed on his as well. I asked him if it hurt getting it done, he said "dunno, to be perfectly honest I didn't even know I got it done until I woke up the next morning hungover and looked at my foot. No regrets though, beer is awesome". I suppose working in a store where you get to wear flip flops all day is partially what the appeal in foot tattoos is haha!

A friend of mine just got her foot done ( a large piece) and it hurt like hell. The foot is mostly bone, and any tats on bone hurt more. Tats on bone and places where the skin is thin.

Tattoos are something I might go for. The rest ... not so much. The idea of having an actual, scannable barcode tattooed on my neck (kinda like Agent 47) entertains me but it would suck if changes in the elasticity of the skin were to “destroy” it over time :|

The top of the foot is extremely painful.

I'm well aware of that, but it will be worth it in the end. It's a cool spot for tats, and from what I've seen they don't tend to deteriorate there as fast as other places.

You can't expect to get a tattoo without going through some pain first haha

I certainly know that. See my photos above.

Tattoos don't deteriorate if they're looked after. My first is 7 years old and is still perfect. It stays out of the sun unless I use sunscreen on it.

^Unless of course you put on weight in an area you have tattoos, then you're screwed :p

I know someone who had a tat on their stomach, then they got pregnant. Doesn't look quite as cool as it did before haha.

You can’t really prevent them from deteriorating to some degree since over time your skin will naturally become less and less firm (not to mention moles).

So PaperTulip and I are the only people here with tattoos?
