I've finished the questline before without vampirism just fine, but now that I am playing a new character who already has vampirism I'm having problems. I got the first quest fine and even talked to Durak, Agmaer and another Dawnguard member on the steps without any issue. As soon as I enter the fort, however, everyone attacks me. I have no bounty anywhere and I'm not hungry, but I remember reading somewhere about this problem but can't seem to find it through Google and nothing else really helps me.

Do you think using the console to instantly move past Dawnguard (quest) and Awakening and onto Bloodline (where you pick your side) would work, or is that likely to bug out?

Thanks in advance! :)

If I understand you correctly... If you are a vampire, and you've rescued Serena, why are you going back to the dawnguard? With that said though, as a vampire, I've gone back there and visited without any problems. Go back to Riften and sleep for 24 Hrs. That will be enough time for the game to reset any active combat / hostility it thinks is going on. The go 'visit' Oh, and feed well. Go at night and feed on the leader!

SPOILER BELOW!

Keep in mind that when you hit full Vamp Lord, you'll be sent to wipe them out! And if you get them in a bottleneck, they'll go down quickly and easily.

What I don't like is after you've taken out Harkon, or being a Thieve's Guildmaster, or the Listener, you'll get sent out to do all the job's.

Yeah shame they didn't do an Oblivion style where you gave the orders. Fighters guild you could tell them what to focus on, recruitment, quests or both. Dark Brotherhood you got contracts from the Night mother and gave them to the speaker.

I felt kind of let down on Vampire side, you become the Lord of the court and yet they still treat you like the day you arrived. All I wanted was to be like Viktor in Underworld

Got that! I mean, exactly what's the point of being a Vampire Lord, a Guildmaster, a Listener, much less Dragonborn if all you get is smart-a__ crap from the guard's and continually saving or rescuing the ungrateful?
