There's a bed you can use in the steward's quarters iirc, but I don't think the containers will be safe. As for the Skaal village, I have no idea. Bearing in mind I've had the DLC for about 24 hours

i was asking myself the same question....
wish we could get a house at the Skall village for example...

personally i'd absolutely love it if having Hearthfire and Dragonborn allowed you to build a house somewhere in the north of Solstheim, overseeing the sea of ghosts. It would be a cool 'evil' home.

Neloth mentioned a "bed and a chest" when he inducted you into House Telvanni.

I'd bet that the chest is safe storage.

Of course, I never actually found the bed ....
