I stopped useing follwers when the 3rd one died, they get in the way most of the time when fighting
against enemy's. Lyina was killed by a troll the thing almost killed me too but I was a low level. When you get to higher levels theres no need to have a follower there just not necessary, unless you have a low carring weight then they could be used as a donkey to carry your things :p.

My Lydia is in my home in Whiterun. When I first got there she would wander around the house. Lately though she just wants to sit up stairs in my bedroom at the table eating, standing up, walking into the open door, sitting down and repeating.
I've decided to leave all the housecarls in the house and take other companions

I made Lidia my Steward in Lakeview, because i felt bad she was all by herself at whiterun house. but now i think she is having an affair with my husband, farkas. Every time i come home, i cant find them, and when i do, they are always together......

I typically marry Lydia. Why? because she looks hot in Ancient Nordic Armor. The rest of my Housecarl's just sit around guarding my homes, probably contemplating suicide out of sheer boredom.

I have one character who adopted Lucia from Whiterun, and for various roleplay reasons can never move her house out of Whiterun. But she has quests to do, she's a single mum, and someone needs to look after the kid, so...Lydia? You know those burdens of mine you're sworn to carry? My biggest burden is the fact I have no babysitter...

And that is how Lydia became my babysitter.
