okay guys, I made my house in falkreath minor property 100%.
so, as you know I have no need to keep building anymore cupbourds or any more shelves or any other uses I need. I am 100 % finished in what I have to build.

I made my greenhouse fullfilled with my magic mushrooms and weed-not for skooma smoking btw.

I just need to develop my house into a a magical storage mansion.

I have my own smithing forge in the cellar, and I also invest my materials in chests in the cellar.
I have loads of weapon racks, and weapon holders for my armoury, alchemy house and enchanter and magical weapon range upstairs where lucia sleeps.
now what??? I just need a wife and another kid to make..... but after that? now what??

I do not wish to make anymore houses around skyrim and build anymore, I just wish to buy houses now instead of just make a purchase on a property to build houses.

so I packed up all my work benches and I am finished hear.

now does anyone know anything about there house?? can you guys explain how you modeled your built home? or what houses you bought from the jarl??

let me know on anything else guys, cheers.
by the way guys, here is how I store my stuff.

potion storeroom:located in greenhouse.
alchemy ingredients: stored in alchemy greenhouse and alchemy tower

smithing forge materials: located in cellar
storage of armour: in store room where weapon racks are on the east wing.

storage of weapons: on racks in armour room.

all food storage: near fireplace in barrels and sacks.

magical and enchanting supplies: upstairs on the west where lucia sleeps.
and thats my storage info. whats yours???

Well, I do my alchemy at Lakeside Manor, where I have a greenhouse, garden, Alchemy tower and Armory. There's a house rule about never entering the Entryway, though. Everyone must use the side door or very bad things happen.

The family (wifey & 2 (1?) recently adopted little nippers) stays at Winstead Manor, near Solitude and enjoys the kitchen, bedrooms and Trophy room. The stuffed monsters are designed to scare the kids straight. I'm still missing a Draugr, though.

My personal lair is Hj-howevertheheckyouspellit, (near Whiterun) where I do my serious enchanting and reading for fun & profit in the Library. A storage room is also available. I should've built another Armory, though.

The basement of each house has everything except a complete set of the Nine Divines.

Storage is anywhere I put stuff, hoping I'll remember it later.

I had a good time over the prior long weekend getting my Hearthfire on.

I mostly use Hj-howevertheheckyouspellit as my main house also for all my enchating/alchemy/smithing. Its the only one I completely have done even the 9 divines.

The other two are basically done except for a few wall mounts etc..Just minor stuff..

Although the one with the fishery is probably my favorite because of the view.

No kids any any of the homes because it annoys me that they run up to you and hold you up almost everytime you enter the house.

After trying each and every house in Skyrim I dragged a very unimpressed Balimund to Falkreath to set up shop. Spent ages getting the hose how I wanted. I have a library in the tower, a garden, enough beds for 8 people, an armoury downstairs and a trophy room. Once the house was built I popped over to Riften to grab a couple kids and present them to my long suffering husband before waltzing away to kill some dragons and leaving him with the kids. If you have kids I really would suggest a trophy room to put them in when they've brought home a mud crab and apparently "lost" their brand new tunic. I'm looking at you Francois. Similarly the armoury is great as it comes with little mannequins for when the kids feel like target practise with their shiny knew dragon bone daggers that mummy bought home.

Least they didn't bring home a skeever. No wonder the basement was attacked by a bunch of skeevers, child had stolen their baby. I hate skeevers and I walk in the door and bam I pulled out my sword to go kill it and the kid goes "Can we keep it"

I ended up stuffing the crab and storing it in the "Room of Shame".

I have all the houses and holds. My main is Lakeview manor, because Runa and Sophie like it so much there. But , it was first one i built, so it has the armory and alchemy room (do not how childproof those rooms are) while at the other 2 holds they both have gardens, while 1 has a kitchen and alchemy tower, and the other a library and trophy room. didn't get the storage, because i figured there is already plenty of spaces to store stuff. I have the feeling that Farkas (my poor hubs)_ is stealing from me to fund his "store"

I built the Lakewood house first as well. It was to be the Alchemy lair.

Unfortunately, when anyone crosses between the Entryway & the Main Hall, the game crashes hard.

Not surprisingly, I find I use it less than the other houses.

Although it's a bit confusing, I'm really enjoying having all these properties, both in town, in the country and now even in Solthsheim.

Maybe I'll do time shares. :)

I've only built Lakewood Manor, so far. But It's complete and total, with every shrine and trophy in place. I find I'm enjoying this little synthetic family more than I thought I would, and I return to Lakewood after ever adventure and evening spent doing..research.

It has an enchanting tower, which I've taken over as my personal study (no kids allowed.) an armory, which boasts some real historical treasures. Such as the cloths worn by none other than Ulfric Stormcloak, complete with jesters hat.

I recently let my bard go. Lazy man seemed to think I paid him to loaf around, eat my families food and flirt with my houscarl. I'm in the market for a new one.

Sophie brought home a little fox kit, which I let her keep against my better judgement. I step on one fox turd and that little guy's going to end up a hat. But the kids keep the place clean, every time I come home the first thing I tell them to do is their chores. I'm not the fun parent.

My goodness!

There's a horker that hangs around by the lake near Winstead Manor, where the kids are.

Should I be concerned?

Falkreath may seem nice, but they lied to us. It is a bad part of town. Crazy guy at an alter doing dark magic.

Also had a skooma dealer near my house. Trying to sell me the good stuff, I had some words with that fellow.

I said to the Man "Are you trying to tempt me? Because I come from the land of plenty" And he said "Oh! do you come from the land down under?" Then he proceeded to attack me.

What's funny is, I had just found "A Stray Dog" on one of my trips to Morthal, and the little guy was tagging at my heals when I walked in and saw everyone standing around Sophie with her pet fox. So maybe she's picking up some of my habits.

Was sort of sad to tell the poor old hound to go home.

I'm happy with the fox, though. From what I'm reading, it could have been much worse. A skeever or a little mud-crab, for example.

I think it would be cool if in the hearthfire DLC....if they actually added a way to sell goods in markets and shops and earn $$$$$$ gold like you wouldn't believe.that would be cool as ,plus selling goods at a selling merchant range, instead of just being a costumer, your a seller merchant. that's if you own, your own house of course:Dlike in other word's ,your a shop owner.

With all my characters and all my Hearthfire homes I tend to the same storage layout:

Smithing stuff is stored in the chest outside, because I find it easier to use the outside smithing station than the one in the cellar.

Stuff to sell off/stuff I've looted and haven't decided if I want to keep it goes in the chest in the entrance way.

All alchemy ingredients go in the little satchel on the table next to the lab in the main hall. Amazing how much stuff you can cram in that little satchel! Apparel with fortify alchemy enchantment will go in there too.

Soul gems, Soul Trap enchanted weapons and anything I plan to enchant are stored in the wardrobe next to the enchanter upstairs.

Stolen stuff that needs to be fenced will go in the chest in the main hall near the kitchen.

Armor, weapons and various apparel I want to keep go in the chest in the main hall by the greenhouse.

Special items like dragon priest mask, Daedric artifacts, unique items, etc. I usually store at Breezehome because I tend to lose them at the Hearthfire houses.

Books go in the one lonely bookcase upstairs or in the end tables next to the master bed.

Clothes my character wears for a change of pace (instead of the clothes he/she carries or armor) will go in the wardrobe by the master bed.

If I can get/picpocket a guard's shield with the emblem of that house's hold, it goes on the shield rack in the back room of the main hall. (I do a similar thing with the non-Heartfire houses too)

Food goes in the barrel next to the fire in the main hall, even though I always build the kitchen. It's like with the alchemy and enchanting towers--I like them, but ultimately find the main hall area easier to use.

I would love it if you could build your own shops in the cities, hire employees, make trading agreements and so on. Of course, I would like there to be something to spend my profits on, like improving the city, rebuilding broken-down homes, helping orphans find adoptive parents, bribing jarls/jarls' stewards for things, building something like the fighting arena they had originally planned for Windhelm...or setting up a black market operation. :p
