With Skyrim being as detailed as it is it would not surprise me if Bethseda implemented this, but I couldn't notice anything in the quick check I did earlier today. My question is does Skyrim have key astronomy? I was horrible at science so I will probably either not make any sense or not use proper terms.

I'm currently playing with HUD at 0%, so I'm trying to figure out a way to find out my directions based off of the nature/landscape. One idea I had that would be pretty sweet is if Skyrim had key star systems that would direct you in a specific direction. Like if there was a certain constellation that always appeared in the south, or a "North star". Or even something simple like the sun always rising in the west and setting in the east. Does the moon have different cycles based off the day of the week or is it always full? I can't get onto Skyrim right now to look further into this, but I thought it would be an interesting topic if other's had thought this too.

I'm not totally sure, but I know there's two moons. I was actually thinking the same thing as this yesterday.

the sun does use the proper cycle i'm sure, i run mods that make me need sleep along with other mods that make night seriously dark so much as i cant see at night. so having to plan around that i tend to watch the sky. it rises and sets as we expect it.

as for the sky map i'm not sure, one thing i do know is its not our night sky
