Ok... its almost everything i can do do not just bash on my keyboard jumbled jibberish i am so upset... I dropped 90 dollers on skyrim and all the DLC for the PC and ya know what? ... Its buggy... Glitchy... and Unplayable... I mean i love skyrim! Iv played it for a long time! thats not what im refuring to...

Its the hearth fire DLC... I feel like bethesda has just gutted my wallet.
I cannot! build a house... Can not! Its just... not possible iv tried like 45 times now and every time i gotta reload to before i bought the land and try another...

First and most commonly my Workbench stops showing me what i can build! and the desighn desk just shows me the small little house you start with asking me if thats what i want to build! no no no its not what i want!

Next is the most frustrating... when i build somthing... It doesnt Fu--ing appear! I just stand there waiting... and waiting... and waiting watching it to see when my walls or roof will come up.. iv tried fast traveling away and then back iv tried saving and reloading and going in the house and leaving it.
nothing works iv been screwed over! I cant go ahead cause my building wont appear and i cant live in half a damn house!

Iv tried building all the parts at once! and iv tried building it in small baby steps ... build one piece then wait for it to appear before moving onto the next part.
nothing works... alwase ends the same every damn time.

Iv exhousted myself... google knows pl*** about what to do and Im stumped!
What makes it worse... is the assholes at bethesda are too busy counting there money to announce a fix for this unfinished product! ... this is a broken DLC being sold at full price! its scummy and criminal to take money for a half assed unfinished game!
I cant understand how... for 4 months! they havent put out a fix for these bugs yet Let alone! not even announced one! h-h-how! how! how can you have glitches this invasive making your DLC unplayable and yet you cant f***ing fix it! or even consider fixing it!

Just so you all know... I love the concept of this DLC and i want soooo bad to enjoy it... but i cant if it wont even work for me!

I'm a console player so I don't know much about it on the PC but maybe there's a console command out there that can help you out.

Yeah, this is a new bug/glitch to me. Never heard it before. But I'm a console player too so I can't help much. This sounds like the result of either a conflict or a corrupted file, if you ask me.

If I was in your shoes (and my apologies if you've already done this), I'd try deleting everything from my gaming computer, moving any games files I wanted to save to an external HD or flashdrive, reinstalling the entire game and then see if the glitch is still there, preferably in a new game (or a the earliest save of an older game). It could be in the game's installation or in the specific game file.

If it still is doing it, I'd make sure everything working OK with my video card.

It's easy to blame a game that's known to be terribly buggy and glitchy but as I said, this isn't a bug I've heard about before and if you can't find anyone else who's run into a sim prob, it could be a problem specific to your install, your game file or your computer set-up/hardware. I've had a number of bugs/glitches but all of them i've seen documented by other people who've run into them too. For example, I've had the entire west wall of my Lakeview Major disappear, and my character fell through it into the "endless blue void"--but that's a known glitch and was fixed by reloading the last save.

I know nothing about this unofficial Hearthfire patch but if a PC player rec's it, I'd give that a try too.

If you're using a PC, I can see no reason not to install all of the Unofficial Patches. It's possible that some mods may conflict with them. But otherwise, they pose no additional issues that I've noticed after several hundred hours of gameplay.

Get on it son.

Well! that did nothing not a damn thing... i built my place and all of a sudden I crafted the supports and i bet everyone can guess what happend next! ... they didnt appear... it jurt stayed a platform with no supports!

The unoficial patch did nothing to solve my issues....

I know its probably not any of my mods since most my mods are like slight tweeks... like fallower mods and such nothing that should affect the pieces of my house appearing or not.

I had a bug problem and I got stuck with pressing in the.....you know like the puzzle doors the problem with that is it would not turn down or swap puzzles, no matter how many times I tried to press the button there were just too many bugs to be able to press the bloody thing down. I think bethesda are just screwing players around too much saying a whole bunch of f*** lies and they dont do anything too much about bugs so I tried reloading again at that saved point and the doors worked. I would try restarting your entire xbox 360 man it should be in there. but they made a great game skyrim but bethesda really do have to fix these bugs or there will be a protest of gamers hitting there bethesda studio centre if they cant fix f**** bugs glitch problems.

thats bethesda and there downfall but there advantage and positive aims is they made a great game but cant fix the bugs in the game at all.

todd howard said we will fix the bug issue for all players-bullcrap todd howard never gonna happen, big lie indeed. tell us the truth if you can fix bugs in the game because my game still keeps on freezing all the time.

Steam Workshop :: Unofficial Skyrim Patch

Any game of this size and magnitude is going to have bugs. It's inevitable. Luckily for you, being on PC, you can get a hold of unofficial mods and patches that can take care of a lot of the problems.
As for Hearthfire gutting your wallet, it's a $5 DLC. You can hardly call that "gutting" unless your occupation is Lemonade Stand Proprietor.

Hope you get your problems resolved though. I know it sucks when things don't work as intended.

Best i can say is . . . . take disc and place into box, put box into jiffy bag, send directly to Bethesda asking for a refund, log back onto all the Skyrim type forums and moan moan moan moan and moan again, and wait till hell freezes over for your refund,

Or, just play the game and enjoy ,, ,, ,, ,, IMHO.

i do have hearthfire (PC)but havent gotten around to building a house yet, but from a guide here it says:

"When you arrive at your plot of land, you'll find a drafting table and carpenter's workbench, as well as a chest containing all the building materials you need to get started and an anvil for turning iron ingots into construction metalwork.

The drafting table allows you to choose a plan for what to build next, and initially only the Small House layout will be available. Pick that, then switch to the carpenter's workbench to construct the foundations, walls and roof, using the anvil to create any additional materials needed.

Once the door has been added your new house is ready to move into, but first you'll want to head inside and use the workbench to construct items of furniture such as tables, chairs and a bed. New materials required for certain furnishings such as straw and glass can be purchased from traders in the major cities."

have you followed the steps of small foundations then adding wings after?

edit: nevermind it seems like you have tried to build the small first, not sure then sorry :/

If persimmons approach, Khajiit will smell them.
I'm on PC and have not experienced anything like you describe here. Somehow your Skyrim install got corrupted somewhere along the way. It happens. If it were me, I would do like you have to do with something like Adobe CS -- wipe EVERYTHING (even all of the little sneaky plops) and do a totally fresh install.

You might even need to do the same with Steam itself. I dunno.

Sorry you are having problems.

Well on my xbox 360 i have no problems, sorry that doesn't help, and the comment on this post, that this a good time to buy a ps3, ps3 does not have all 3 DLC's yet and doesnt not have the latest patch to fix all the bugs, how do i know this, i own a pd3 and had skyrim on ps3 and i waited and waited then saw pc getting latest patch something like 2.01 then they get all 3 DLC's then Xbox 360 got there patch and there 3 DLC's so i continue to wait and wait and after 2 months of owning ps3 Skyrim, i read bethesda announced we will not be releasing any patches and DLC's till we have finished making Dragonborn dlc for ps3 then we will release a new skyrim game called Skyrim game of the year Edition and it will have all the up to dated patches and all 3 DLC's and will be released aroiund March - May of 2013. I was like wtf i am not rebuying Skyrim all over again, so i traded my ps3 skyrim in at my gamestop for the xbox 360 skyrim with no cost, they was happy to swap it out to me snce they read the announcement from bethesda as well and now i am a happy camper :):):)
