Good point! I already own Lakeview Manor with this character but kept it quite small, gives me a reason to start pimping it out I guess! Plus, I've always loved the woods around Falkreath, perfect hunting grounds :)

I agree. Bannermist Tower is a great home for a hunter. There's the cage area to store pelts in, a tanning rack, bed, chair with flag at the top with a table to chill out and read, a few tables to displays stuff...it's pretty cool.

If persimmons approach, Khajiit will smell them.

Now that I know what I'm doing re: Hearthfire, the choices for improvements seem obvious to me.

Just finished all improvements to Windstead. The hatchery makes it the ideal "factory" home, so I added the alchemy lab, the armory and the greenhouse. No need for a cellar. Heljarchen Hall, with the mill, will be the spot for children; bedroom, kitchen + storage or trophy.

I probably won't build Lakeview manor this time around.

How do you unlock the other houses? I've only ever had the letter for Falkreath.

I built the greenhouse, library and alchemy tower last time I built a house. I was an alchemist at the time and they all proved pretty useful. For all of its critics, I think it's a great piece of DLC.

You do the thane quests for Morthal (Windstead) and The Pale (Heljarchen).

Windstad is great. The fish hatchery rules.

I always just walk around, from one end of Skyrim to the next and back. I always have some sleeping tree sap with me as well, for a nice change of pace

If you're on PC, I've seen a hunting guild mod or two floating about. I can't vouch for its quality, as I've never given it a try myself, but it sounds like fun for someone who enjoys that type of thing.

Thane of Solitude
I enjoy wandering about aimlessly, clearing out caves, pillaging bandit camps, encountering passersby and relieving them of their wares, then selling most of my newfound treasures for coin. I find this very relaxing because there's no rush to complete anything and I can explore places I've never been before.

I used to spend a lot of time decorating my house in Falkreath Hold, until I found out that your items can disappear in the build-able houses due to the Hearthfire glitches [i moved to solitude after i found that out - just in case]. So now I hunt bandits, fill up my inventory so much I can barely walk, dump all of it in a barrel, and make a few trips back and forth selling all of it.

I refuse to leave anything that is worth something behind on this profile.

Professional milk-drinker
I like cooking! vegetable soup nom nom
And in my spare time I read my hoard of books I've taken on quests.

I also like going back to Riverwood to hang out and... chop wood! :) And make Frodnar think I turned him invisible. xD And I like to play with the bunnies. I'll never hunt anything!

You're right! I went searching last night and found a couple, think they're still works in progress but hey it's a start!

I enjoy creating my own adventures based on how I play my character. For example if I am a mage I could try to do my own studies and research. I can "excavate" my own ruins.

In my spare time, I like to explore the Dwemer ruins and "excavate" everything I can. I do this so often that Hjerim is, essentially, unliveable. The floors are covered in Cogs and Armor, there is a sword about every 3 steps... when I walk in my character glitches to the top of some huge pile. Haven't played that character in a while but as of the last time I did, it didn't reset all my stuff.

Spying on Ysolda. She hopes to learn the merchant's trade one day.

I'm obsessed with listening to and/or collecting Nirn roots, even after the quest finishes. I'll make a special trip to the Sarethi Farm just to stand in her garden at night to listen to that hypnotic tone while bathed in their eerie glow. Wish I could post a screen cap, must look pretty damn stupid, but you can't reason with an obsession.

The other is collecting valuable books and reading them. I haven't started Hearthfire yet, but when I do I will have a library for sure. I'll go in just to smell the weathered leather.

Haha, I understand that totally. They literally call out to you. I'm not even playing as an alchemist and I still have an urge to pick all the darn things. >.<
